I have an 80ah 24v lithium and its great. I did go with the charger made for it. Im not sure where guys are charging to be able to pull 20amps?? All my garage circuits are only 15amp

You’re forgetting the voltage difference, not charging at 120v

Muskies are like 99% catch and release in Minnesota. I don’t have the exact figures on shoot and release for grouse, but I’m confident it’s less

Eh, that’s about right for the ones I shoot at.

As an aside: are upland hunters allowed to walk/hunt ohv trails? Been genuinely curious about this and last I checked didn’t see any direct answer in the regs, unless I missed it. Thanks.

I can’t find anything that says specifically either. My assumption is you can walk and hunt anywhere on most types of public properties but OHVs are not allowed unless posted. A trail being posted to allow OHVs doesn’t remove any other use, it just says OHVs can go somewhere they are otherwise disallowed.

I’ve been saying this form the start. I comment smells like bacon, and no one gets the reference. Shameful.

There’s a time to think and a time to act. And this, gentleman, is no time to think.

I looked around on OnX at properties owned by companies and most of them I can’t find any information on other than the company exists. There is one though that looks like a single person in Arizona, whose website only lists small parcels in Colorado, that somehow also found some in northern Minnesota. From the website he mainly does owner financing; things like 1 acre is $4000 cash or $150 for 48 months.

This one I found is 10 acres in Waasa. Looking at the tax records OnX hasn’t updated yet but this company in AZ sold it to someone from MO in August.

I wonder if someone in MO really wanted 10 acres of swamp for themselves or if it’s just more investing and it just gets traded around until someone can unload it for good money.

Related to this my cabin neighbor listed his property for $245k which everyone though was absolutely insane. Well, it took 1.5 years but he sold it for $220k which is still insane for what it is, should be like 150k. If you have the money to sit on them until someone bites it’s probably a decent way to make money, there’s nothing you have to do like with flipping a house.

It’s probably China that says they’ll buy my house and vehicles every week too lol

I would guess it’s just investors seeing if someone will sell for below market. A lot of people have land they inherited or have had so long they don’t know how much it’s actually worth or they get an offer and wonder why they’re paying property taxes for that parcel they never go to or something. It’s pretty low effort and if somebody actually showed interest they’d then do their due diligence and only go through with it if it looked profitable for them.

And chargeable if you kill them. This is straight from the pine county dnr.

See my edit, screenshots won’t post. Charged with what is my question, it has to be tied to a law you’ve broken. Craig’s case might answer that, or maybe not if the cat supposedly had an owner.

There isn’t a feral cat in mn. Peta got that changed along time ago. Hence the reason it’s illegal to dispatch stray cats.

Did they though, nobody could find the statutes in the other thread could they? The DNR seemed to think it was legal at some point but this document with a quote from them isn’t dated so I don’t know when it was. I’m interested in how a law about “pet or companion” animals was actually applied but after looking at his case this seems to imply the cat had an owner…

    Edit:
I can’t get pictures to work at all…

One was of the Jason Abraham (MNDR Furbearer Specialist) supposedly saying “Feral cats can be freely hunted; hunter is responsible for determining if the cat is owned or wild”

Second was transcript of court case and says “because of involvement from the — I almost said family of the victim, by the pet owner here, the family’s been quite involved in this case”

I’m not going to argue, this was pre 2020 so not sure what has changed. I shot a feral cat in my yard with a pellet gun after it attacked my son. Was charged with two felonies and after several thousands of dollars and a year plus of court it was resolved. Not saying it was the smartest thing to do but when it was my 4 year old son I’m sure many dads in here would’ve done the same

Looks like you were charged with section about harm to a “pet or companion animal”. Did they argue it wasn’t a feral or that all cats are pet or companion animals?

Mexico isn’t full name, it’s United Mexican States or United States of Mexico in english, so they’d be United Statesians too if we didn’t just use the part that was different. We just happen to have America in the name.

Sorry for the bad picture but can anyone tell what kind of bird is this? They are there year round near Tower. They’re bigger, maybe twice the size of a usual robin.

I’ve never heard this before, do you have a study or article to support it?

Don’t know if there are others but I’ve seen this study about willow ptarmigans referenced before when discussing whether the same would be true of ruffed grouse:

    https://www.jstor.org/stable/41058806

Main thing is that the group with highest harvest quota “had higher natural mortality during winter after the hunting season.”

The aisles need to be small so they still have room for those dusty aisles of tractor parts and horse stuff, or whatever, that nobody has ever bought there coffee

Can you have too much power? ???

It only weighs 32lbs more. Everyone had the old version with lead acid batteries at some point and you have lithium which makes up the weight difference, probably still lighter overall.

On my boat (competitor 165) I wouldn’t spend $1800 or whatever they are just to run on 10 for long periods but that’s up to you.

Is that white safflower Reef? Tough sell around here also.

It’s just called “wild bird food value mix” on the bag. Says it’s Milo, white millet, cracked corn, wheat, black oil sunflower seed. There’s almost no sunflower seeds though, it’s crap.

I’m far from an expert bird feeder, I don’t even know what I normally get unless I saw the bag. It has a lot more sunflower seeds in it though. They’ll empty the feeder in a couple days with that. This cheap stuff would last a week.

I bet she put herself in this situation obviously.

    https://www.fox9.com/video/1445044

That’s actually a great video to demonstrate when you could or couldn’t retreat.

She clearly couldn’t while being attacked in the beginning.

She clearly could while chasing after them and pounding on their car.

Im against any further restrictions for self defense. We have plenty of laws around its actions. We don’t need more. I think this one is aimed squarely at defending the perps. It wreaks of liberal mindset.

I think you need to read it again doah

My bird feeding is coming to an end for the season, I don’t deal with bears in the summer.

Only notable things for me was the number of blue jays that stuck around this winter, there were a bunch of them.

Also I still have about 25lbs of the budget white bag seed from Tractor Supply. Nothing by me likes that stuff, going to dump it in the woods somewhere lol

For myself, the most comfortable and best concealing has been the Crossbreed Minituck.

I gotta say my old well broken in Crossbreed Supertuck is very comfortable. For newer guns I wanted to get something else though and tried a couple and ended up with Aliengear Cloak Tuck 3.5 as the best of the few I tried.

And I seconded it! I was a dummy when I watched it the first time, I ended up watching a couple episodes of season 2 before 1. No idea how that happened. I think it was when the new season came out and I just clicked it and wasnt paying attention to that fact.

I never watched but knew it must be on Amazon if that happened, they have such a terrible interface.

Why don’t you have a box for every type and color. Do you need more crankbaits. Yes the problem is not enough crankbaits.

I’m down to a shallow box and a deep box and still most of them have never been used rotflol

I switched all mine to Lure Lock boxes, the sticky ones with no dividers. Seems like the most space efficient way to jam the most in with minimal tangling. They aren’t perfect but I spend a lot less time untangling hooks than I used to.
