Referring to where the tailgate meets the sides & bottom of the truck bed, they sell vinyl like door seal kits/come with tonneau covers that you can try. Google truck best seal kit. I haven’t found a great way of keeping dust out myself but want to find something too.

Our group is 3 for 3 on antlerless tag this year, not sure how all of 3 of got lucky but with nothing for the past 2 years it’ll be nice to have that as a backup.

My first year elk hunting in Colorado – late October, I used my MN hunting gear. Didn’t buy anything special as I wanted to see what I needed prior to buying. The big thing is layering so you can take off layers as needed with temp changes. At 10,000ft it would be freezing at wake up and 70+ in the afternoon, so removing layers was critical. Think I had 4 top layers and 3 bottom layers when I was out there. Top layer was blaze coat shell, sweatshirt (blaze), fleece and then base merino.

As others have mentioned training is probably your best bet, I’ve personally used Tommy with Revive Canine – Becker/Clear Lake, and he’s helped us a ton with our dog. Different situation but has been a ton of help for us in our circumstance.

I’ve got a buddy that works at Riverview, haven’t personally been there with no boat right now so can’t speak to that but from talking with him they work on all kinds of motors and boat work, been working there for almost 15 years I believe.

Colorado does have a 2nd & 3rd season over the counter rifle tag you can pickup, check the 2023 big game guide page 40. Will give you an idea of units and then you can go from there for looking into guides. Depending on how much punishment you want to take you can go easy with a do all guide who takes care of everything or just a drop camp guide that brings you in and out of camps.

I took part in a survey they sent out a week or so ago, they have some major changes in mind. Club level isn’t club anymore, they’re thinking of making it in the lower bowl with nice seats. A few different levels of “suites” like 4-5 with different levels of inclusions based on platinum, diamond, etc… From what I could tell it won’t have a low value ticket hardly anywhere but upper deck.

I just got a pair of their Refuge sunglasses a few weeks ago. So far compared to my old Oakley’s I’m happy. Couldn’t find anywhere to try them on and they showed up on Camofire for $75 so I figured I’d just buy them. Seem to make everything more clear, good lenses, polarized and fit well, wish the nose piece fit better but not a deal breaker for me. Fit and finish is nice along with overall quality, time will tell as I use them more but otherwise I have no complaints after only a couple weeks. Have yet to use them fishing so see how I like them then.

Brown’s Clearwater West – stayed at their Pekagoning portage to outpost. Have the lake to your self with plenty of fish to catch: walleyes, SM bass, lake trout and some large pike. You do use their boats and have to bring you own electronics but it was a fun week learning the lake and where the fish are.

I went through a similar scenario as you BC watching camofire for great deals. Ended up getting a Nomad set of pants & coat that I’m happy with, use it for those mid range temps you mentioned then layered for colder. I also picked up a pair of mid-weight element outdoors pants that are my go to pants for just about the entire year. Even at normal pricing they aren’t to bad to the pocket book $100-$200 and have held up decent over the past 3-4 years with hunting here and Colorado. I have bought some First Lite gear recently as I’ve been looking to upgrade some stuff but that was 30-40% off during their sales. Awesome gear too

From what I’ve seen the only way to disable the start/stop feature is with a programmer to change it – might have warranty impacts. or Range sells a start/stop disabler that plugs into the OBD2 port you can remove easily if it ever needs to go in for service.

I can’t say anything for mods but I’ve had my 650xd now for two seasons and love it. Just used it for a week of elk camp also in Colorado and it worked great for that. Two cots get’s a little tight but it was doable. Quality has been good so far with no issues and yes I’d also recommend a drill attachment for installing the ice anchors.

I can only speak on the Fieldsheer Premium BT insoles, I wish I could return them but bought last year. They worked to warm my feet but only lasted a few hours tops on low and you have to turn them on before putting them in your boot then switch to low. So when you wake up early to hunt and have to turn them on an hour+ before you’re even in the stand burns up a lot of power and then when you do need them later in the morning they only have a like 25% battery left. I’d say if I turned them on low at 5am they were dead by 8-8:30.

Just had this happen to my dog earlier this year, took him to the vet and they cut the nail & quick back as short as it would go. That helped him from licking it to oblivion but they still sent home antibiotics as he wouldn’t leave it alone. Grew back fine over a few weeks and can’t hardly tell now. Just keep an eye on it, if need like other said take her in.

Yup similar to CptMusky, We us a can of chicken gumbo soup, a little ketchup and mustard add any other seasonings you may like. Everyone seems to love them when we bring them somewhere.

I have the same thoughts Gimruis, last year I was over burned out on manually moving sprinklers every 40 minutes. I’ve got a guy coming Monday to give me a quote, I’ll let you know what mine comes out to when I get it. Installer told me on the phone his parts/pieces have gone up in price like 60% since beginning of the year.
I’ve been told it will be roughly $2,500-$3,000 for a 5 zone system on my lot, .33 of an acre but waiting for that to be on paper.

I have the same around the neck style at mwal mentioned but got annoyed after a while since whenever I would turn my neck they would move and pull to oneside. Currently running the Caldwell E-max shadows, been great so far regarding hearing protection. Basically a foam earplug with the blueteeth and sound amplification. Been using them hunting also since they are easy in/out I usually have enough time to put them in before pulling the trigger on a deer or elk.

Only complaint on the shadows is they are terrible for phone calls, no one can hear me talk when I try and use them for that.

From my experience Bucky has a very good point, I was looking for a Can-am not to long ago and I spent hours online looking, made a spreadsheet and everything comparing prices and dealers. Visited a few around the metro and didn’t get the warm fuzzy feeling from any. Finally bought one from Bessers bike barn in Sauk Rapids and couldn’t have been happier, within 2 minutes of stepping in the door the owner was there shaking my hand asking what he can help me with. That didn’t happen anywhere “local.” Others I liked were Hilmerson Sports (little falls), Trueman Welter (buffalo) and Ollie’s (Alexandria) that gave me the best service as a potential buyer.

Not the same bow but I just bought the Infinite 305 for my daughter. Similar adjustability and scenario for the bows. She shoots it great, still getting used to it but overall it’s great for her and can be adjusted as she grows for draw length and poundage.

Regarding the left/right eye scenario – my wife is left eye dominant but right handed. We decided to go with a left handed bow for her after having her shoot both. It’s taking her a little more getting used to in shooting and accuracy since it’s kind of backwards from what she’s used to/expecting. I’m also left eye dominant but have spent so many hours shooting right eye that it’s not an issue for me, just mental training/blocking that eye from seeing to get used to it.

We did a Refi late last year through a credit union and our appraisal was $500. I’d agree it sounds like some shenanigan’s are happening somewhere.

I’m in the same boat looking for a new set of truck tires before the snow comes. The new BFG Trail-terrain T/A with 60K warranty, 3peak snow rated and a decent price point have got me interested. Saw a few videos on them and they seem to perform fairly well, more of a road tire with off road capabilities.

As Brady mentioned find the round that shoots out the gun the best. Once you have that you can go to Leupold’s site and enter all the information and submit for the dial. Just be sure you have or can get all the info required for the website otherwise it will not work. Simple as range and twist to that range once you have it back.

I’m no mechanic but I believe 2008 was the first year of them and had the start of the problems. Each new model AFM was modified for that new engine but slightly similar. I had a 2014 5.3 for almost 4 years with no issues other than a little bit of oil consumption. Checking oil ever other fill up with gas will help catch things before hand knowing if you level is low. Range AFM disabler will block this from happening while not changing the tune in the truck if you’re worried.

As everyone mentioned get a pack that fits and is of good quality. Many of the better brands have been mentioned but do some research and figure out roughly what you’re bringing in/using it for. Day trips in and out to a main tent or if you end up with a Spike camp route. Mystery Ranch has sales around black friday every year and I picked up a Popup 38 for fairly cheap last year. We hunt from a wall tent base and are back every night so I can get away with a small system with a built-in shelf.

For my family of 3 Costco is good for the items we buy there. I’d say we go about once a month to restock on certain items that we use/eat frequently. With a large family I can see it being a benefit to have a large amount of whatever product on hand to keep every fed/clothed/etc… My dad goes every month or two to pickup a few things for himself but doesn’t bulk by like he used to when we had 8 people in the house. Everyone will have a different view of worth it depending on what they purchase, IE can we eat a 3lb bag of shredded cheese before it goes bad or just buy regular sized at target/cub/walmart.
