    I clip the tails on shinners and use small split shot sinkers along with the weight of the tip-up line works very well….lighter is better.

    Eau Claire take 29 across to wausau then 51 north to hwy 17 which goes to rhinelander then follow 8 across to pembine will be the quickest route…..

    Possible battery might be drained to low… i have a 25 evinrude that does that when it got low….also it would turn over slower…..

    Deep cycle batteries are typically used for trolling motors where you can drain them 80% then recharge them…not what i would want if my main motor is hook up too.
    Starter batteries have higher amps and should remain fully charge for long life out of them

    found the same ice varied alot in depth around Winona also with the snow on it, some venture around without knowing the true thickness they stood on…caution is advised its early yet.

    i think most people just want a auger to run and drill a couple holes when needed to have a good time when out on the ice…

    my jiffy has been running 25 plus years… a little heavy but will cut as many holes in a day as any auger out there…if you bring a couple buddies along to share the pain
