The new Fenwick World Class and Elite rods are great. The 6-9, 7-2, and 7-6 ML have all performed well this year. Action and power are spot on.

Personal preference for length, but the 6-9 is my favorite jigging rod.

They discontinued the (fenwick) HMG didn’t they? That was one of my favorite “moderately” priced rods at around $100-$110. Sadly I just broke my beloved ML a couple months ago. Also have a cheaper HMX, but they are not nearly the quality as the HMG.

Curious how people are liking the new line(s) of decent/high end Fenwick rods.

The HMG is still there. Both the Eagle and HMG were upgraded and the Eagle now has a lifetime warranty.

I don’t feel as if the new 6-9 ML is overpowered by a 20 inch fish by any means.

One of the best rods in the $100 range are the new Fenwick Eagles. The new design has a lifetime warranty and the performance is very much improved over previous generations.

Some good reels mentioned above, it’s also worth looking at the generation 5 Abu Garcia Revo reels. They’re tough, durable, and perform extremely well.

Have they stopped making Nanofil? Can’t find any.

Stay tuned to ICAST… you might see a new line from Berkley.

KOC needs to have his play calling privileges revoked. He needs to be sent to his room for a timeout.

yes. watched it.WOW. one thing puzzled me, as a retired mpls FF. I know how the system works or is supposed to work

There was an off duty firefighter there who testified for the prosecution.

Hansen said she identified herself as an EMT when she got to the scene, and told Officer Thao who she was.

“He responded, ‘if you really are a City of Minneapolis firefighter then you would know better not to get involved,’” Hansen told the court.

And did you see how she was acting? I’d doubt and question the legitimacy of her claim and furthermore, even if her claim to be MFD was accurate (which it proved later to be), I wouldn’t let her near my patient/prisoner for a second. She was unstable, confrontational, unprofessional, and hostile.

Very smooth and balanced. Tough as nails with a good drag system. The OD Green is last years color scheme.

The Vision 110 was king until the Berkley Stunna came out a few years ago. The Stunna has now taken up the majority of my jerkbait box real estate.

I’ve got a Frigidaire countertop ice maker and it’s great. Kicks out ice within 5 minutes.

I’ve had one for three years. It definitely helps and reduces the thud and jarring. I’d recommend one.

Toyota 4Runner all the way. Much better reliability and resale value. In my opinion, they have more curb appeal than the VW. Every person I’ve known that had a VW experienced electrical issues.

Well Sanchez pitched a heck of a game today. Really earned that 6th spot in the rotation.

I would rather see gordon at short next year, that would open up plenty of cash for many players.

    Yes, or Martin or Lewis.

    Ya but,
    They have new uni’s

    They’re terrible too.

Twins tendered a contract to Pagan. What are Falvey and Levine thinking?

I’d recommend the Streamlight Strion. Fantastic light – compact, TOUGH, and throws a ton of light. Put mine through daily use as a street cop for over a decade. It never failed. Before the Strion it was the SL-20. Amazing how much lighting has improved over the years.

As tempting as a cheap light off Amazon is, they’re great until they’re not. When you need a flashlight, you NEED it to be reliable.

B and I went thursday, she had the pronto, walked around, and saw everything, be damned if I’ll pay 8 to 10 bucks for a Weiner on a stick. Took her to the Olive Garden and had a great meal, nice day!

Olive Garden and “great meal” in the same sentence is the funniest thing I’ve read in a while.

Did the inevitable Twins thing happen again? Yes. Also still glad they at least tried to add to the club. Someday September baseball will matter again, probably not October or November if I’m being honest tho. chased jester

As long as there’s no salary cap, we’ll be outbid, outpayed, and outplayed by big market teams that can afford (or are willing to spend) the money on talent. Twins will only be the boys of summer.

I’d recommend the Rec Tec 590. I’ve had mine for 4 years and use it 3 days a week year round. Never needed to use their customer service but I’ve heard it’s top notch.

Holds a steady temp, gets hot enough to sear steaks, has an “Xtreme Smoke” function, and the WiFi controls are awesome.

Do you feel the 590 has plenty of space? Also – do you miss that it doesn’t have a top rack?

The 590 has plenty of room for my family of 5. I can easily fit a 16 pound shoulder.

I’d recommend getting the searing grates for burgers and steaks.
