I just snapped the end off my triumph casting rod today. They are $70 rods, so I’m trying to figure out if it is worth sending back to get replaced, or if I should just go buy a new one.
How do you package the rod when you return it? I don’t happen to have any 7′ skinny boxes laying around, so I’m wondering how you guys packaged yours. If it costs me $50 to replace the rod, plus around $10 dollars to ship it, then I’m really only saving maybe $10. Plus then you don’t get a chance to look the rod over before you buy it, so is it really worth doing the warranty return in this situation…?

Also, what is the difference in the premiers and the triumph series? I put the descriptions side by side and the only difference I see is that the triumphs are made in Mexico and are $50 cheaper than the premier. I wanted to get a premier originally, but I got the triumph because it seemed to be the same thing for $50 less.

I know a cold front is “bad” for fishing but what about just the drop

Damn that was a great read… “possibly lying on the side of the road, her back legs squashed by a vehicle, calling out “Shannon, where are you?” “

    that is too funny

Thanks for the help guys. i’ll be looking around for deals for the next few months

Atta’ boy. Fishing without a flasher is just luck fishing. Without a flasher, you may as well be sitting in a permanent shack playing cards and pounding Premium with the rattle reels down (not that there’s anything wrong with that every now and then).

I look at it this way. I can start a fire with two sticks if the conditions are right, but it’s a lot more fun to use that can of gas and stack of bottle rockets to get it done.

    very well put Sir!
