I’ve put that Fortman safety conversion in my wife’s 1100. Simple to do, and she likes it.

If you’re not comfortable or capable, you can likely find a local alterntive that’ll be quicker and cheaper than mailing them in. I dropped a bunch of my kitchen knives off yesterday. They’ll be done today for a couple of bucks per knife. He’s way better than I am.

Thanks. I need a youth stock.
September 19, 2024 at 10:47 am #2289964I’m on year 2 of an Echo string trimmer. Way better than gas.
I’m toying with the idea of a battery mower now.
September 17, 2024 at 9:03 am #2289556That sucks. I have friends who are vets, and they both mentioned this shortage to me several years ago. Wishing the best for your pup!
August 21, 2024 at 8:59 am #2286388We recently bought a CX-5 (not what you’re looking for), but I snooped around the CX-90 at the dealership, and it seems like a nice vehicle. I have no clue how it’d tow. Mazda is making some nice vehicles, and their financing beat the pants off of Toyota.
August 20, 2024 at 3:09 pm #22863242. No need to wear hearing protection with many electric tools. Not all! It’s just so nice not having to wear muffs when string trimming for example.
Also, if you have a nosy neighbor that likes to whine any time you trim or remove any trees, it’s much more stealthy.
August 20, 2024 at 10:34 am #2286248I bought a DeWalt maybe 6 years ago and have been quite impressed with it. If you have 2+ batteries, run time is not an issue. It runs an impressively long time on one battery. Really, the only downsides, to me, are price (maybe they have come down some) and weight.
August 13, 2024 at 9:23 am #2285218303 Aersopace Marine protectant: plan to use on console, seats, topside of boat
303 is a protectant, so you’ll want to clean the vinyl with another product first, and then apply the 303.
August 5, 2024 at 12:29 pm #2284042Pete’s Surplus near New London had plenty on Friday, so I would imagine you could still find some in St. Cloud.
August 3, 2024 at 9:54 pm #2283922I would just mock it up with rope and see how long it needs to be to avoid interference with your kicker.
August 1, 2024 at 8:52 am #2283538Apparently playing on an all dirt softball field without a mound is fairly common these days.
Without a mound is not common (for travel baseball, at least). My son has been playing travel ball the past several years (10, 11, 12), and we’ve never played on a field without a mound–many use portable mounds, but they have mounds.
Dirt infields are fairly common, depending upon the city and age level. It’s a lot easier to have a field set up for multiple age levels with dirt infields (i.e. 10U plays on 60′ basepaths, 11U on 65′ basepaths, 12U/13U play on 75′ basepaths). At both MBT State and MYAS Gopher State tournaments this year, we played on a mix of grass and dirt infields.
We’ve got a nice, new facility in Maple Grove with 4 all-turf fields–that’s a whole nother animal!

July 31, 2024 at 9:46 am #2283358LOL, our neighbors left their teenager alone a while back. She shut off the WiFi so the cameras didn’t work.
July 30, 2024 at 7:38 am #2283083MYAS traveling baseball … weekend tournaments, regular season games, and practices is why June was not much of a fishing month for me for about 6 years or so.
I hear you–we’re in the thick of that (though we play in MBL). Just wrapped up Gopher State Tournament of Champs this past weekend, so I get a brief break before football starts. We had a great season–won two tournaments and took 2nd at another. Also took 4th at the MBT State Tournament. I was never a big baseball guy, but I’ve coached with some legends the past couple of years and now really enjoy the game (and know enough to be dangerous).

July 22, 2024 at 2:01 pm #2282060I finally tossed one like that several years ago after it just took up room and collected dust. Someone’s got to have one that they’d give you!
July 22, 2024 at 10:29 am #2282025The walk in sites at Split Rock are phenomenal, but as mentioned, you need to book way early.
July 10, 2024 at 10:59 am #2280524Kind of a pain in the a$$. I had to buy some new tools to make the job quicker and easier.
I would be interesting in knowing your tools/process. I agree, they make it more difficult. Last fall, I somehow damaged a fitting in the process and developed a brake fluid leak.
July 10, 2024 at 8:27 am #2280489I just got rid of a 2010 Mazda 6. I bought it on a whim in 2017 not planning on keeping it for too long, but that was a damn good car. Took me 8 hours from listing it till the new owner drove it off . It was our first Mazda, but we were so please with it that we replaced it with a new CX-5.
May 31, 2024 at 9:52 am #2275127I like the previous generation of Ridgeline over this current one, but I’m sure they’re a fantastic vehicle.
May 22, 2024 at 8:28 am #2273676Yeah, there is a subtle difference in male/female pileateds–the red moustache on the males. Tough to distinguish without a good look.
May 20, 2024 at 8:54 am #2273238Location? It’s been like 10-15 years, but I talked to a guy on the fishing pier on Twin Lakes in Robbinsdale who was just having a field day with them. He was a southerner and claimed they were delicious. He probably had 5-6 on a stringer.
I agree, they are a hoot to catch–incredible fish!
May 20, 2024 at 8:21 am #2273217I have lights strung on a cable around our patio, and there is a female hummingbird (assuming it’s always the same one) that sits on the cable all the time. She literally perches there more than she’s not there. Sometimes, she lets others eat on the feeder while she’s there, and other times, she dive bombs them. They’re so fun to watch!
