Thanks James. I’ll go your way and stop fighting it. Truth is I don’t use the side imaging enough to worry about the shadow anyway. Once more, thanks for your help!

Great rig James! I also have a new (2014) WX2190. It’s an awsome boat to fish out of. I can fish two rods, intertain two Jack Russels, in a 15mph cross wind…all pretty comfortably. Boat control is just awsome. I am however having some sonar issues, and wanted to pick your brain about transducers. I think the hull may be a bit thick where I have mounted thru-hull (epoxied to inside of bilge) 3 different transducers, trying to get acceptable fish-finding capability. I’ve put water in the bilge and trialed different locations. I just can’t get far enough forward through the access port. I’m about to drill a hole in her, and mount an in-hull transducer. Your thoughts?
Thanks, and congratulations on your new ride. You are going to love the boat.

    Hello Zack and “Hookinupwalleye”

Thanks for the feed back. I’ve got a 2190 ordered and I’m anxious to get started. You all have been quite helpful, and your input is much appreciated.

    James

I’m just about ready to order a 2190 and would very interested to see a picture or some description of how you rigged the tracks…especially on the bow area. Did you put any in the stern? I think the track offers all of the versatility of changing mounting position of rod holders etc, but also offers a flat surface to step on for boarding or getting out..especially when wind is blowing and dock is moving.

    Thanks

    Hello James

Thank you for the detailed responce. I have a dealer closer, but am most likely to go with one that I have identified as higher volume for the reasons you mentioned. Switches, pumps, fittings, etc don’t worry me as much as hull issues and perhaps that is part of glass boats. I’ve ran motly metal boats, but after watching closely this past year on Ft Peck, the glass boats ride better and I think fish better re tracking and fishability in the wind.

    Hello Brian

Thanks for the quick and thoughtful responce. I plan to be there the days most of the rigging takes place, so I have a better idea about what’s ” under the deck”, and go for a ride as well.

    Hello Eric

Thanks for your response. First, I would like to say that of the Warrior, Ranger, and Skeeter that I was most impressed with the Skeeter and I’m planning to buy one. I also know that in a public forum there is going to be good news and bad news. I just don’t want to buy problems that could have been avoided. Some of the posts that triggered my concern were on this forum as follows:

MX 1825 Gel Coat Fix 1/23/14
    Hull Showing Cracks 729/13
    Leaking Front Live Well 10/3/13
Cracking on New Skeeter 2000T 7/2/13
