My 01 F150 had the non greasable ball joints replaced at 60,000 miles with some Moog ones. Keep em greased, they oughtta last forever. I have 80,000 miles on the truck now and started to feel a vibration at about 60/65. Turns out the ball joints were fine, needed a rear driveshaft u-joint.

FWIW, the only other problem I have heard about on a regular basis for this model F150 is the rear axle seals leaking. This can get fluid all over the rear brakes and make a big mess of things.

I know, because I just had my wheels off.

First off, glad you are ok.

Secondly, I am glad I am not the only relative who had to sign up to this website to keep track of their old fart fathers.

I think the BFG and the new Goodyear’s are good tires, but both are a little more aggressive than what you are looking for IMO. I would look into the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos. I had some on my old truck, my dad has them, and Blue Fleck has them on his now I believe. Great tires, softer quiter highway ride than the BFG, and less expensive than both of those tires.

    Ask Blue what he thinks.

I agree with the Revos, very quiet and long life. A good website for comparison and pricing is http://www.tirerack.com.

BK, hard to believe the two of them created a fine piece of manliness such as myself, eh.

Don’t get me started on shopping with IamretiredandfeeltheneedtobethebossofsomebodyPutz.

I think the old fart just about got us kicked out of Home Depot when we were shopping for carpet for The Boss of Putz.

I am pretty sure the retail world would be a much better place for all if IaintyelledatanyoneinfourhoursandIneedafixPutz would just stay home.

Hey Dad, what are ya getting me for Christmas?

BK! Hey, your initials are what OldFartPutz eats all the time, hence his manly physique.

Dunno about the lutey, I try to not be around when it is cooking. We gonna do some ice fishing this winter?

So if I buy a compund bow, and a different license……..

Hey Dad, gonna need to borrow some money. Thanks in advance.

I am healing buddy. I can go for twenty minute rides on my mountain bike and the doc says that is the best way to heal up. I won’t be kicking OldFartPutz anytime soon because I believe it’s some sort of bylaw in the NAARP that if you get kicked in the butt you have to whine for like 6 days and I don’t want to guys to have to deal with that.

I dunno what a BFT t-shirt is but the idea of FrankenPutz in a Speedo makes me want to vomit.

    Alot.

    From the mouth of Putz:

“mbsk mnnmb mskhr selfosj…..” Then he went to sleep.

Try and sleep in the next room while OldFartPutz is sleeping off a day of not shooting deer, my Grandma’s ham, and most of the Schmidt Brewery in his tummy.

Hi guys! I am typing this from home and not the hospital and that’s a good thing. I guess I tried to outbrake about 10 bikes coming into turn three on the inside.

    Uhh, it didn’t work.

So I have some bruised ribs, a mild concussion, and I feel like I tried to get in the way of OldFartPutz and a plate of lutefisk.

Thank you kind folks for the well wishes. You guys are the best!
