As King said…. The cribs that were put in are for all species of fish….. Keep in mind there are thousands of young Walleye put in the Chain every year.

Latest report is there are 60 new fish cribs installed on the chain this weekend… 48 on Lake Chetek…. 12 on Ojaski. If anybody that ain’t already in the know, wants to know where……. Ask.

Since the other two Gentlemen ( and I use the word sparingley) that used to fish the North end of Prarie also, don’t seem to go out much anymore…… I guess it’s up to King & I to keep the reports out, here’s mine….
Pan fish are still hittin good up here, but now the last few days after the 100 degree day, they seem to be scattered all over and are less interested. I switched from my favorite jig & smoke colered twister-tail, to a green tube jig which they like pretty well, and this morning I had to add “Crappie candy” too. Water temp was 83.6 before the rain ran me off the lake….. Yep I said rain!!!! Almost forgot what it was like to see water fall from the sky, as we’ve only had a bit over an inch in the last three months!!!!

Crappies & gills seemed to have gone on vacation there for a few days in early July, but they seem to be around again the last few days…. Seems as though they don’t want to bite now…. Just hang on to the bait & go for a little ride.

Hey !!!!! Guess who finally made it !!!!
    Thanks for the new thread.
Good job puttin it together vman.
    Hey, Cane & King.
Crappies & Gills are hittin good up here on the North end of Prarie… There now out away from shore as all have said and sometimes are schooled up and sometimes scattered, depending on the time of day. Two days last week they would hit as soon as the jig hit the water, but now this week they seem to be a little more picky… 1/16 oz jig & as always for me, a smoked 2″ twister-tail have been working well….I add some Crappie Candy if the bite is slow.
