    I’ve got a Drotto on a 206 Triton. It is the one with the roller on front. Dealership had it on the boat when I bought it. I would not have put it on if it wasn’t already part of the package. After 1 full year of using it, I will never own another boat without one. Once you use it a few times and figure out the sweet spots for loading and unloading, it is second nature. Being able to load without your partner ever leaving the truck, or you leaving the steering wheel makes it incredibly quick. I have no scratches from the latch on my boat, this is with 50-60 launch load sequences in the books.

    There are two types of ducers in the current Minnkota motors. Standard, which will get you the 2D sonar. And the MDI, which will get you down imaging as well as 2D. It will not get you SI. To achieve that you would have to mount a ducer to the bottom of the trolling motor, or read from the transom mount ducer.

    The 93SV+ has Navionics already uploaded on it. Also comes with the quick draw mapping capabilities, and can work hand in hand with your 73. Great units, for a very reasonable price.

    Are you guys throwing the main breaker into the off position prior to charging your trolling motor batteries? Just curious if small power surges are happening and affecting the units. I have gotten in the habit of throwing the breaker prior to hooking up to the charger.

    With a 36 volt bow mount and decent batteries you should be able to troll in most situations for 7-8 hours at 1.7-2.2 mph. I wouldn’t want to crank up the hour count on my main motor when the bow mount works just fine for 95% of the situations.
