Be sorting/cleaning equipment. The Lund is in the shop getting the once/twice over. Next week will head to Gavins.
March 13, 2009 at 10:58 pm #758401Roger that. I like the regs. Thanks for the reply. We are looking forward to April. See you there!!
March 10, 2009 at 6:27 pm #756949Hey, if I can fish 3 in my boat, I would pay your way as well. I would consider it guiding fees.

If someone needs a partner then I will.
I’ll pay the entry fee. Could be fun.
PM me if your serious
Hey now, if Zach fishes this tournament, that kills my chance at first place.
March 9, 2009 at 4:57 am #756285Thanks Ben. I was wondering about that, hence the reason I asked. I guess if you aren’t fishing it, I should have a pretty good chance at winning
November 1, 2008 at 7:13 pm #720417I haven’t posted here forever, so I am just as much to blame. I am heading to Willow Creek in Pierce tomorrow to catch walleyes and whatever. Will post when I get back.
February 15, 2008 at 7:15 pm #655588And I have never gone out in conditions like this. I usually hit those odd 45-60 degree days…during a winter that was much warmer.
Ben, it probably wouldn’t hurt to bring some of your own. It is usually peppered pretty good with sand and gravel, but again, I have never gone in frigid weather. That is a steep, steep, steeeeeeeep ramp.
February 15, 2008 at 5:06 pm #655532I have never had problems in the past. It really isn’t all that difficult with winter river levels, even with a bunk trailer. Just have two there, one to hold the rope, one to back er down. I don’t know if there is a large difference this year in river levels compared to previous years. Was there last year, not there this year…yet.
February 10, 2008 at 3:36 am #653030Well, I just found out this week that I have (wife has) one in the oven. Must be the cold winter we have had

“Omaha’s most experienced meteorologist” is prognosticating a potential January thaw with highs in the 50’s and 60’s. Maybe that will give you hard water fans the “do over” you’ve been talking about…
Sorry, couldn’t resist. As I look outside and see the forecast for next week, I don’t think there are going to be any do-overs. One thing is for sure, in my son’s five years of his life, this is the coldest winter on record (his record). Now it needs to warm up just a little, so I get the gumption to go do something useful, like ice fishing.
December 5, 2007 at 8:38 pm #630238What causes the elimination? Bo Schembechler eliminated? College football hasn’t been the same.

Isn’t the Arena League owned by the NFL?
Does anyone care?
Yeah, the meat packing plants are always looking for help. I guess he will just have to work for a living like the rest of us
December 1, 2007 at 5:23 am #629103Three words…Minimum Mandatory Sentencing. After Vick “cooperates” with the G, then he fits into a sentencing guideline that the US Attorney recommends. The guideline is the guideline. The judge cannot come off of that (minimum mandatory). If he fits into a 5 year minimum mandatory, he has to do 85 % of the time, unless he gets convictions of other people after he is sentenced. It’s called a Rule 35. Bottom line, MV won’t do much time, but it will be in a Federal Prison. It’s not club med. Plus, his cooperation which I assume will involve a minimum of dope dealers and dog pitters, will be worth it. Criminal and thug. Nuff said.
July 4, 2007 at 12:13 am #586757Enjoy. Lac Seul is awesome. You will be spoiled for stateside fishing!!
July 2, 2007 at 10:59 pm #586358OK, your wife is up in Canada, without you? Not to pry, but that sounds pretty cool. I wish my wife had that much interest in fishing!! You are a lucky guy.
May 10, 2007 at 12:50 am #569802I was there and at the time, thank powers to be, my boat was in a hoist. I left it there Sunday, thinking that was the last time I would see it in one piece, even in the hoist. Thankfully drove the two hours on Monday to retrieve it. No way in h*!! was I going to get that thing out on Sunday and attempt to get it on a trailer. Unbelievable!! Saturday night, we were on the south side of Millers Bay when the bigger wind hit. Naturally, as (smart) as we were, we made the almost fateful trip across the bay, in a quartering wind, in the pitch black of darkness. Top three scariest times I have ever been in a boat. I have a 19 ft Pro-V with a 225. It wasn’t nearly big enough on that night. Almost dumped it. And that was when the wind was “calm” compared to Sunday. To answer your question, there were no boats on the water that I could see on Sunday. NO WAY!!!
April 16, 2007 at 11:59 pm #561417Thanks from me too!! That was about the most fun I have ever, ever had.
April 7, 2007 at 7:28 pm #558383You’re right about Calamus. I have never seen a lake with such a carp population. I would like to see a comparison study between the major lakes in Nebraska to see who has the most carp per capita. I guess if the ski’s did eat those things in Calamus, and preferred them, then we would be talking about an up and coming world record musky population. I’m talking 200 pounders and several of them
April 2, 2007 at 1:27 am #555782We went today of all days. Thought that if we suffered the brutal weather, on the eve of a full moon, we would be rewarded….wrong. Absolutely awful. Marked a lot of walleye looking fish, but the dark milk chocolate water didn’t help. Plus, it was darn cold and miserable. Regardless, it was still better than sitting at home and the boat ran great
March 25, 2007 at 2:22 am #552978Who’s going? We are taking two boats down Thursday. We are staying in the cabins at Tradewinds Marina. Stop by for a beer or some food. The master chef is coming with us so we will trade food for fishing hotspots!!
March 25, 2007 at 2:18 am #552976Shew, what is that thing on your avatar? Maybe I am seeing things, but it looks like 1/2 bird, 1/2 dog?
March 15, 2007 at 1:04 pm #549168The same thing happened to Calumus. Fell victim to an In-Fisherman article. It just boils down to responsible fishing…by everyone, including locals.
March 14, 2007 at 11:48 pm #549021Hopefully, they do another article, after I win the State Farm Open
