I’m hoping this is the same deer as last year. He’s 5.5 and will be my #1 target. Never caught up with him last year. His summer range overlapped with his fall range.
Got it done in nw Wisconsin at 10:30 this morning. He was almost 24#, beautiful bird! I took today through Friday off to hunt so now I’ll be scouting for fall!
I’m not sure but i know that i can’t even open them. They’re on the cards and I’m able to watch them via computer. I know that I can’t change the formatting when i plug in the Stealthcam card reader.
He drives me nuts!! Here is a recent article about cwd in Wisconsin.

Shoe goo does wonders. I patched my rubber boots and my neoprene waders with it and they have both held over a year now. And it’s simple self leveling stuff. Plus 3 or 4 bucks at walmart
Does it have an odor?
Killed this 3.5 at 12:45 today. I decided to move to a new stand at 11am. Got settled in about noon, and called him in to 10 yards. My vacation goes until 11/13 and this is at least the 6th buck I’ve called in since 11/3.
This is washburn county, Wisconsin

My wife and i have a 7 month old daughter,I see your 7 month old daughter (~4 month old son) and raise you a 2 yo, a 3 yo and a 4 yo….safe to say, finding time to hunt is a bit of a challenge!
Congrats on the little one, by the way…
You have me beat lol.
I promised my wife before the season that i wouldn’t hunt as much, but hunting two states was the most difficult part. If i wasn’t gone the majority of the weekends from September through October she would’ve been more content with me hunting. I was hunting a borderline booner in mn that was coming in regularly, but never saw him in daylight. Other than that, i only hunted cold fronts in October in Wisconsin, which was 4-5 times from September through October.
My advice for next fall would be to run your cameras and hunt if a buck you want to kill is moving during daylight; and cold fronts. That way you can compromise.
I’m taking mine now. I have November 3-13 off. My wife and i have a 7 month old daughter, but it’s really difficult on my wife…not sure if I’ll be able to do it next year again.
Ive had great rutting activity and a lot of sightings. All have been 1.5-2.5 year olds, but time will tell. I killed a doe tonight that still had her fawn. Saw 11 deer this morning (4 bucks and 5 d&f) two i couldn’t tell. Ive rattled in one buck and grunted in another.
Ive taken the first full week of November off the last two years in Wisconsin and each year i have great rutting activity.
The only intentional neck shot i took was in 2014 with a 30-06 at 20 yards. The buck kept walking at me and didnt present a broadside shot. He stopped at 20 yards and looked up at me. I put the crosshair right under his white patch and dropped him.
Conversely, i wouldn’t take a neck shot with a bow, no way. Im confident in my shooting and equipment, but I’m not confident that hunting factors and deer reactions would be against me.
I sprayed roundup last weekend. I’ll take a look at the area tomorrow and make a decision.
My approach was twofold: to have a late season plot and to see how well the plot turns out for never planting one before.
I dont have a tiller or the necessary equipment to create a large plot. I was going to create a 1/4 acre plot with the season approaching, and depending on how well it turns out, i would make a plan for next season.
My top two. First buck is the one i hit last October as a 145-150″ and he’s now 5.5. Second buck is a 4.5 that i had multiple times on camera.
This deer looks like he might have some stickers but it’s hard to tell.
You’ll need to either change the settings of the size photos your camera takes or reduce the size in post photo editing.
10240 KB is the max upload size.
I personally only have trouble when I’m uploading more then 3-4 photos in one post.
I don’t see a “post photo editing” option. Where would this be?
Still grinding away in WI. I’m hunting a new spot the remaining of the season. We have a ton of snow up here and the deer are crossing the road to hit the corn. I have until January 7th to get it done.
