Tyguy 11, the problems of CWD are a thing of the past. You might as well talk about the Yellow Fever of 1792. More humans have disease than deer do. Let the past be the past, and get out there and hunt.

Great question, iberg30. I for one prefer ladder stands. It provides a very safe tree stand at a good price. As for height, the higher the better I say. For bow hunting, I normally sit around 22 feet off the ground. What do you use?

Iberg30, I am gonna have to disagree with you on this one. Where do you hunt? Maybe you do not read the deer sign well enough. Personally, I would try moving my stand to a different location. All I know is that deer are smart. There is a reason why they travel mostly at night. I feel that thousands of deer take refuge on unhunted land during the hunting season. Just because you can’t see them, does not mean there not there! Great topic!

You have a very good point tygu11, but I ask you this. What are you gonna do when you shoot a small right pointer before the rut and during the rut, your trail cam takes pics of these bigger bucks yards from your tree stand? I have been hunting for many years, and this exact situation has happaned. But then again, you may not see any bigger ones. But you have a better chance if you let four or five decent sized two and a half year olds go the previous year

Gobbler, I do not mean to be rude and it’s important for you to understand that I am not angry with you. The reason for this is because there have been many problems with illegal poaching around the area. Other big bucks have been posted on the internet, and some of them have been killed illegally. I am just trying to protect my deer! Thanks for your understanding

The person holding these sheds is my friend. I found and am the real owner of these sheds. I am very protected of my find, and you would be too. You did not have permission to post this picture on any website. I must remind you that this is very illegal. I do not want to cause any trouble, but it would be wise to take this picture off of this forum. Thank you for cooperation. Next time, ask permission before you post anyone’s picture on the internet.
