They probably just used regular old ethylene glycol(green) when they flushed it. When the dex cool mixes with ethylene glycol it can gel. So they obviously did not get all the old dex cool out! Did they use a chemical in the cooling system before they did the flush? I would say to just flush it again, but it may involve a little more than just a flush to get that gel cleaned out of everything!
February 27, 2011 at 12:59 am #941862find out what the temp is for the old thermostat and throw it in water at or slightly above that temp and you should beable to see it pop open!
February 27, 2011 at 12:24 am #941856when running at operating temp, are both upper and lower radiator hoses pressurized? did you checked to see if the heater core was blocked when you had it out? what you descibe from the gauge on the dash sounds like it is cooling in the normal range! is the temp at half when sitting idling and at a quarter while driving?
February 14, 2011 at 10:16 pm #937501they maybe have damaged something when beating the tire off if it hit the sensor! otherwise is it within reason that it went in that time frame!
December 7, 2010 at 9:44 pm #915252james, my wife has been having problems with pdanet. we were advised to use easy tether. its a 10 dollar fee but she likes it alot better. She also uses the tether program all day for work!
for the football nuts i would recommend the NFL app,. right not you can watch Sunday and Thursday night games for free along with redzone.
December 7, 2010 at 5:01 am #915031what app are you using to tether! a verizon rep suggested easy tether which is a one time fee and its suppose to do everything. i use the lite version and seems to work fine!

October 26, 2010 at 12:29 am #906131if there is corrosion on the battery connections or if there was when you replaced the battery you may want see how much resistance they have! to much resistance could cause the starter not to get enough power. before you tried to jump it did the lights come on? just because they did doesn’t mean there is enough to turn the starter. the starter runs off of high amperage while lights and radios don’t. if your battery is not being charged it could be your alternator!
October 19, 2010 at 2:54 pm #904854if the vikes can’t get some pressure on rodger he is gonna tear the vikes secondary apart!

July 25, 2010 at 2:35 am #888968if it goes out the car will just stop moving and should cause much damage depending on what goes in your differental. it shouldn’t be dangerous. if you have four wheel drive i say drive it till it goes out then when it goes out you can still get home!
July 24, 2010 at 3:35 pm #888926open thee bleeder screw while compressing the piston in the caliper. not doing so can cause seals to blow out in your master cylinder. then bleed brakes when done puting pads on!
July 10, 2010 at 2:21 am #885775possibly your fan is not turning on(temp sensor, a relay) or something blocking airflow through your radiator. or your thermo stat could be sticking shut then opening causing the coolant to boil over!

if you vehicle is equipt with a PCV valve make sure it is good
you should be able to shake it, if it rattles it should still be good(not stuck open or closed).
the pcv valve ventilates the crankcase back into your intake manifold and allows any un burnt hydrocarbons(fuel)in the oil to be burned.if you are running a mineral oil or standard oil you may run into leaks switching to a full synthetic, as the molocules in a synthetic are much thinner than they are in a standard oil. which helps the synthetics lubricate much better. a good place to start is with the pcv valve since that is the cheapest fix. it could also possibly be a head gasket.
