45 degree track mount and attached a ram ball and claw assembly, works perfect.
The Adventure Sport looks like an in-between of the rebel sport and the impact XS. There is storage underneath the jump seats (1 side battery, other side dry storage). There is a rod locker. There is bow storage.
It also takes up to a 115 where the rebel could only take a 90.
The Rebel also sports the 115 as well. All I’m doing is comparing the two layouts and I think they could have done better with the storage area’s.
Joel, headed down your way mid March for my 3 week early fix. Farthest I’ll be is Guntersville in Alabama then SW Tenn on a 7 lake tour. I do it every year. Good luck with that beauty.
Do yourself a favor and find a left over XS. This is the model the new one replaced. The XS has more storage and better layout. Also get the 90, you won’t be sorry. Runs as cheap as the 60 and with 2 or 3 people you’ll have plenty of go. Never under power.
When I run the big motor and troll I drop 2 bags, one on each side off the mid cleats. At idol I’m at .5 and my boat is planted, even in bigger water with the wave surges. I steer with the Xi5 “auto pilot” on the front and the boat does not move off line.
Before you spend your money on something that probably won’t work and you have a dozen more holes in your boat try the bags.
A few models in 17 had composite but in 18 all models have composite.
They were being built in Tennessee.. right.? When did they pull up and move?
The stability of all the Lunds is incredible. You’ll do your dammdest.(is that a word) to rock that boat and won’t. They just don’t roll like others.
Be patient, I know how you feel.
About that 4 blade.. My motor came with a 4 blade spitfire aluminum 19 pitch which was too much for the motor.. rpms low. Went to a 4 blade spitfire x7 Stainless and that was the ticket. You’ll also find out that motor sips gas and runs so quiet.. puurrrrrrr..
What top rpm are you running and whats your speed? Is it at full trim? Where is your motor set for height? Is the Cav plate under water or skimming the surface? I ask these questions because nobody here can help you without the particulars.
I see you bought the SS and was wondering if they offered the extra storage box that goes in front of the port passengers cubby? It fits right beside the rod locker in that cut-out. Installed one in my 1750 and really adds to the storage.
That’s a real nice boat, be sure and show some pics when you get it. How you going to rig it?
Really???
Was comparing to the 1750.. Like I said, they went backwards in design, I love my Lund
On the sides.. cubby holes, no doors. Rear deck has battery box and live-well.. no storage. Front deck has 2 lids for front storage and a rod box, thats it… no storage. I believe it’s a 87″ beam and the Impact is 96″. The boat is really hurting for storage and I think they made a big mistake in the design.
Nowhere close to a Rebel, it’s a stripped Impact, same size and hull config. Inside has nothing. A Rebel has 5 times the storage.
It’s too bad that someone didn’t use some kind of LineX bed liner in colors and spray something on the side say 2 ft down to do exactly what we need to protect the sides. I’m sure with different colors and artistic ability they can make it look great.
This was my solution , got tired of all the framing and tarps.. back it under and leave it all open.
I run a 90 ..4 stroke on a 1750, 2017 motor and played a lot trying to get it to optimum, over 1k in props. I ended up with a 4 blade SS Spitfire X7 in a 17 pitch with best results. My motor turns it at 5500 rpms and with a full load and 2 fat guys at full trim runs 42 mph on gps. Has such a great hole shot and mid range I stopped right there.
In your Lund users manual it tells you to use support (transom saver type) while trailering.
Nothing wrong with having your rig looking good all the time. I wash and detail my black boat every time I use it, and I use it 4 days a week (no garage queen) It shines like a diamond and I get lots of compliments due to keeping it clean. Go around it with a clay bar after getting it washed clean then buff and polish with a good cleaner-wax and top wax. I use F-11 Topcoat on mine, really shines and removes water spots.
It may be like the 1600 Rebel I had. I’m thinking it’s under the battery in the middle. My battery tray slid out and everything was under it. Can you post a pic of the inside stern area for a look. Does it have the lift away panel that houses the fuel tank and the battery?
I do all my own so I know where it’s installed, the material used, all the access points, soldering where needed, fuses are in place, right size wires, also future planning. My installations are all neat and secure and have never had an electrical issue.
Does the Fury have an inspection plate on the transom (round) If so remove it and look inside to see the pump. I’m betting a loose clamp or cracked pump.
I use a 60″ shaft on my 1750 and run almost 2 ft in the water with 8″ left on top. The 60″ is perfect length for that hull. The space in the bow will have a yellow pull rope that runs to the rear. If you open the round cover at the transom you’ll see the other end there. The dash has easy access by removing the power panel and the cup holder on the helm.Your going to love that boat.
If it were me.. If it sits on a lift “under roof” I would just get a fits all cover to throw on and off this way it will cover your trolling motor. If it’s open to the elements I’d have a much better custom made cover put on it. If it’s on a lift does it make it harder to install a cover?
