Don’t waste ur time..it looks good on the map but it’s really shallow and with the river low it’s can’t be good..use to catch a lot of fish in their years ago tho..if u go that far fish browns, it’s dredged out.

Cade said it spot on in his first post…the BFL needs to have an organized plan for releasing fish..BFL used to take off out of Clinton Iowa every year. The last year they did was an absolute nightmare. They had a guy in a Chevy s-10 with a black tub in the back as the release boat. When the tub got full, the guy would drive to a boat ramp and dump fish. It took the guy forever and guy were standing in line for a long time with their fish. Then they just started releasing fishing at the 9th ave north boat ramp. People were just grabbing bags of fish (me included) and running a few hundred yards away and dumping fish in the river. The guy in the S-10 at one time made a hard right turn on the highway and dumped a ton of fish in the middle of the highway. Nothing like having bass flopping all over a highway. A lot of people were pissed off over that deal. Guess what..the BFL hasn’t held a tourney in Clinton since..The BFL ran away from the problem..

That was one great thing about Team Supreme..the had great release boats.

Fish kills can be avoided..Bass Fisherman hate seeing bass dead!! It’s up to the organization that is behind the tourney’s to give the directors the proper equipment to help eliminate fish kills…Fish kills can’t be eliminated but having the proper equipment to release fish sure can help!!

Chippie, I feel ur pain..I fished from the guttenberg dam just up to the wisconsin river… few smallies and a couple monster northern.

I grew up on pool 13 and 14 and the places I fished on 10, a bass on 13 and 14 would be in heaven. It was tough!!
I was thinking I’m horrible or sumthing lol Anyways I live on the bottom end of 10..i’ll keep ya posted

Better be careful posting stuff like this, the mods will get you.

Seems like follow-up news on a previous thread and is factual. I don’t see any problems with the link

I think Robby is refering to JC

I think most guys just get into the habit of chucking that swim jig and lose focus of what’s going on around them. Not all of the time, but more times than most would like to admit.
Fishing a swim jig is like drinking Beer. Lots of fun, but ya just gotta know when to say when.

We talked about that as well. It seems like a lot of guys are using it as a magic bait and become “one dementional” with it. Yeah you can do a lot of things with it but damn, there is other baits in the box lol

I have to post this quote from Flack, because I thought it was funny…”monsoor has ruined them guys up there”

    OK here’s my question….

Who uses Confidence decoys while field hunting?

I already use them while open water hunting but have never used them in a field. As a test I picked up a few crow decoys to test the water this weekend.

If you are already using them. What is your opinion and how do you position them in relation to your Goose Deke’s? Close in? 5yds, 10yds, 25yds away?

Let me know your thoughts. With the weekend upon us I figure there should be a few guys thinking about similar scenereos.

ur kidding on the crow thingy, aren’t ya
