I have an auger shield that I am not using anymore since I mounted my box in the back of my pioneer. I work in Rochester MN.

It is sure worth a try. I ended up using my auger shield for my Rapala rod case and two Eskimo chairs.

I had that idea a couple of years ago with an Otter Lodge hub. It worked fine in a warm garage with a warm dry shack. Out on the ice, different story. I lost the frozen fight. Back to the pull tight rope locks for me.

Very nice. I used to have the my monster box on a grizzly until I ran out of room.
