I have a 2001 Kawasaki Prairie 300 4×4 that I’m looking to sell this fall which might fit your criteria. PM sent
February 3, 2022 at 10:18 am #2096256How big is your shack? Does that little heater pump out enough heat to maintain temps without the propane furnace kicking on?
November 4, 2021 at 1:37 pm #2072073Reflective tape works well to help find them all when you’re cleaning up at night. I’ve had good luck with these clipped on right above the spring at the bottom of the flag- https://www.walmart.com/ip/Frabill-Tip-up-Light-Lil-Shiner-Ice-Fishing-Tip-Ups-1684/49699128
I’ve found them for $5 each at the end of season, but they’re usually around 10 bucks.January 25, 2021 at 12:07 pm #2009213I like to use the small round Frabill tip up lights. Usually can find them for about 10 bucks each or you can find them included with some of their round thermal tip ups.

September 16, 2020 at 7:59 am #1972729My favorite pair of boots. What I’ve noticed that since they’re 100% waterproof, they don’t breathe well. Don’t wear too warm of socks or your feet will sweat. Wet = cold. I have the 800’s and they work great.
I throw mine on the boot dryer after every trip.September 4, 2020 at 1:15 pm #1970638Looks like they are targeting a price point with this product as it appears pretty comparable to buying an auger + HD lithium hammer drill combo. The SM auger handles might be worth the couple extra pounds with the dedicated setup compared to the drill… I had my drill setup catch a couple times at the bottom of the hole and torque my wrist pretty good. Faster speed of the drill isn’t always better IMO
August 31, 2020 at 11:49 pm #1969572I see dove season opens tomorrow (9/1) Anyone going out this week for it? I’ve thought about giving it a try.
August 13, 2020 at 10:43 am #1964775I have a 1/2 ton pickup to pull with. So the double axle pulls better down the road.. but if the house gets too long/big it will be stuck on shore longer during the ice fishing season waiting for thicker ice.
Tindall, which model did you go with?
July 16, 2020 at 8:52 am #1957654Did you end up getting the Pioneer 500? I’ve been looking at picking one up for ice fishing this season. The cold start issues noted here have me questioning that a bit…
June 23, 2020 at 1:01 pm #1952051I’m looking at getting one, but have heard there’s still some bugs to work out.
December 12, 2019 at 11:14 am #1897376I’ll let it buck for a bit tonight and see if it sorts itself out. No adjustment noted in the manual or that I can see under the hood.
December 12, 2019 at 11:13 am #1897374Been using Chewy for 5 years. Their auto-ship service works great, we have it set up to deliver a new about a week before the last one is gone. One less thing to worry about. Had one issue so far and the customer service was prompt at resolving it.
November 20, 2019 at 12:35 pm #1892204Has anyone purchased land enrolled in the RIM program? From what I’ve read, the value is significantly diminished…
November 18, 2019 at 9:49 am #1891696Picked up a new Franchi at Joe’s this weekend. Great service and selection. Thanks for the recommendations
November 7, 2019 at 12:19 pm #1889631I was there a couple weeks ago. Advertised “up to” 70% off on the doors and in emails. Found 70% off marine, good deals for things here if you needed them. Guns, ammo, optics were 15% off, everything else was 40% off with the exception of clearance and a pile of last year’s ice fishing gear @ 10% off?
Overall, the original sticker prices on everything seemed elevated.
Looked like they were restocking with more inventory too, I suspect the fire sale will be going on for a bit.October 8, 2018 at 2:26 pm #1802232What areas of the state have you been hunting? I’ll be up in the Moose Lake area later this week looking for some birds.
June 20, 2018 at 3:38 pm #1781481Had an 85 Tyee 5.3. Loved the boat. The boat was a tank. We often broke ice on the red cedar so we could fish in early spring. Not a fan of the Merc Tower of Power motors that hung on them but if maintained well I’m guessing it can be a good motor. The 115 had plenty of power to get the tank out of the hole. Not the best storage layout and only one live well. For the year I am guessing the price will be right.
Thanks for the info, I’m planning to take a look at some this weekend. It certainly looks like a lot of boat for the price. How was it for launching/loading on the trailer?
June 20, 2018 at 11:09 am #1781424We trialed all the streaming TV services when we moved: Hulu, YouTube TV, Sling, Playstation VUE and DirecTV NOW. DirecTV NOW is what we settled on and have been using for the last 8 months. No contracts, can watch through apple tv, roku or amazon fire sticks plugged into the big screen or an app on the phone. If you have ATT wireless service you can get a discount on the service. We pay about 20 bucks a month and get the local channels plus all the other ones. One nice feature is being able to pull up the game on my phone in the portable ice house and watch.
April 4, 2018 at 11:39 am #1765195Where are you getting the monster box from? The large one is discontinued, right?
November 29, 2017 at 8:46 am #1731150Kare11 ran a story about this earlier in the week. Looks like he built it anyways. Curious to see how a dock like that holds up to the ice.
