Hey Ernest! I would be willing to ship this time if no one is interested in local pickup by the weekend.

Want to send me a pm to work out details?

You just let me know when you’re ready

I tried to buy the tripwire off you last year. If you will ship it, I’ll buy it

You’ll like either one, honestly. The LX-6/7 is really neat, as is the FL-20/FLX-28. Play with both and decide on your own which one is better for you. I decided the FLX was better for me and now i’m second guessing my choice due to the ProView transducer. I fish a lot of shallow water (4-8′) and the ProView is just too powerful, even with weed-mode and low power mode active. Other than that, it’s the best unit I’ve owned.

I had the same issues trying to use the weed mode with my 28. I switched to a tri beam and it seems to help. Still hard to beat my 22 in shallow water or weeds. Get one of your buddies to switch you transducers for a trip and see if it helps. Any vex transducer will work on your 28

All vexilar ice transducers are interchangeable between all head units. Your tri beam will work on the 28. Power cords may differ between models

According to b the Vexilar tech, the trip beam may work but it won’t work to the units full potential.
The 28 is designed to work with the pro view

Sorry , but that tech is full of poop. I have a tri beam on mine because I prefer how my 28 performs with it. I have pro views on other units that I’m fine with, but my 28 works best with other transducers. My advice is try different ones and decide what works best for you.

I’m not sure I agree that the Bw will handle smaller jigs better than the qt. The rods fish different. Bw is a glass rod that you see the bite. Qt is a very sensitive carbon rod where you feel the bite. I prefer the qt most times over the Bw. That being said I love fishing with the pn. Most my fishing is for Panfish though
