Purchased my jiffy pro4 less than 2 months ago, already had to take it in for repairs. Propane began leaking through the carb. was covered under warranty but I was still pretty upset after only using it 5 times. My Strikemaster Mag2000 lasted me a decade without any repairs. When I drop $500 plus I expect the best and I don’t think the pro4 offers that unfortunately.

I just added refletix bubble foil insulation to my shack.Home depot for $35 lots cheaper then buying a thermal shack. Got my commando on Craigslist for $125 and it’s practically in new condition.

This weekend my 5 took a tumble off the fourwheeler in mille lace talk about making you sick my buddy was holding his and mine and we went over a ridge and he lost his grip anyone stuff happens. So I got it home and the screen/viewing window had come loose. So I took it a part and reglued it back on. This is the only flaw in my opnion the old ones had the plastic ring around the outside which better protected the screen if that area gets banged to hard or rattles loose it will fall off and you’ll have to do what I did. This summer I’ll probably take it apart again and use some arrow insert adhesive or other extremely strong apoxy to secure it. Currently I just used super glue.

Definitely will do red early again this year ice permitting. Then I’d like to try my hand at big stone down south lots of big perch and walleye numbers look good.

Anytime I can get out on the ice during the long thanksgiving weekend is a good year. Making my first pilgrimage to upper red on the second weekend of December so this weather just helps assure me the time I took off from work was worth it.
