I feel for you brother
. After reading your post, I too know pain. I was fishing on Rowen for musky and on the 2nd day, i raised a giant. I came back in the evening and raised her again. She would not take on the fig.8. next day, same spot did not see her and I changed presentations and was ready to change stratagy, then she inhaled my bucertail. I got her to the boat and could not believe how big she was ( easy over 50,way over) then,it happened…
all of a sudden,There was no weight on my line..she just hovered there, and I swear that fish winked at me as if to say,”we can still be friends”
and swam away. My heart sunk. I just sat there with my head in my hands. I had that bad feeling in my stomach.
As I write this, I feel like we are sitting in a room in a circle and sayin.”My name is WackMaster and i’m a fisherman”. I know you WILL get more than one giant fish this year. When you do,it will be that much more rewarding. Remember, you live on Rainy!
