“We can thank papers like Midwest Outdoors for printing stuff like that………..”
It’s up to the locations (bait shops) that report as well.
I agree though.

Wow, great deal. Thanks to all for the donations. Please sign me up!
No need to say you are sorry. CP & Best Buy are on my lists of no return, so odviously I have the same philosophy.
One other thing. Good luck trying to get them to fix anything wrong/warranty work. Bought my last boat from them last spring. YOu gotta love the sales folks before they have your signature. If you ask a question, they can get it done. When the need arises, they can’t. I got the same “busy” BS excuses. Never again w/CP.
Of course this is my sole opinion. Just thought I’d share.
If boiling, try using 7-up/Sprite instead of water. As you can imagine, it makes the meat sweeter when eating like lobster. I was one that used to frown when hearing of eating Burbout, but let me tell you, it can be VERY good.
UPDATE!
Ole Dude says that my big bluegill will be ready this week. “it is mounted, but I just need to finish her up”. That big smallie is still swimming. It was my biggest to date though. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Perhaps I will post a pic of the mount once I have it back.
Where would one pick a light like that up? How much? Does it offer more light than the rope lights? Thanks for the info. The picture is helpful also.
I’ll be calling hime tomorrow. Depending on how it goes, I’ll either have my fish, or my down payment & fish. I pass by his place to & from work everyday, so twice a day I drive right past my fish. Getting very anxious. Thanks for the input.
The Frabill rep at the Ice Fishing Show said the new seats can be purchased seperate for $70 per seat. They do not sell just the padding. We asked and laughed at the response. Of course you can not just sell the padding.
I really like that simple set up. It would beat the heck out of weaving rope lighting through the supports. If you would not mind, perhaps you could hook that up to the vex battery to see how long it lasts? 4-6 hours on one charge would be enough for me. Good idea. Good idea.
Indian Mounds is 2 cabins from ours. PM me if you want details.
Our cabin is on the lake, so I may be able to help. What time of year are you interested in?
Rubber snakes work like a charm. Go to your local toy store and give it a whirl. Just lie them in various locations around your plants. They do not like the sight of a snake as much as me.
If all else fails, call one of the news stations. They love to dig into evil do’ers. Man, I feel for you. We went through this garbage not too long ago. I still wish that fool would get the devils pass if you know what I mean. It puts stress on everyone in the household and is completly unneccesary. Don’t lose sight of protecting your investment.
I have been intending to do this to my boat as well. Thanks for the input everyone. One more question though. What is the easiest way to template the contour of the bow? I was thinking cardboard or measuring every 6 inches.
In the spring (and fall),shallow runner shad raps will provide many moments of fun when trolled just outside the shallow weedlines. There is one lure in particular that has worked very well. It could be the lake, but I have gone through many of the med size firetigers. Depending on your speed, they dive 6-8 feet. Nothing beats slowly cruising in your boat and all of the sudden hearing your drag running. My $.02
Below is the article. Our cabin is on this lake and folks have been driving all over the place at least since x-mas weekend. Scary stuff.
Angler’s body recovered
Celeste Beam, Staff Reporter

Divers recovered the body of a 25-year-old Evansville man, missing since Thursday, on Lake Pelican Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities from Douglas and Grant counties started searching the lake Tuesday morning after a State Patrol helicopter spotted a vehicle that had fallen through an ice heave.
Lee Evan Elmer was last seen leaving Lake Moses around 10:30 p.m. December 30 in a 1997 red Ford Super Cab pickup.
The dive team searched an area six to 10 feet deep, fighting bitterly cold temperatures of 14 below zero, said Douglas County Sheriff Bill Ingebrigtsen.
Divers found the pickup first and then recovered the body a short time later near the Ashby Resort or just before what is known as “the narrows.”
Pelican Lake is located near Ashby, just west of County Road 82 in Grant County.
Elmer, a 1997 graduate of Evansville High School, is the son of Shane and Cheryl Elmer of Evansville.
