They are just people trying to make their way in the world the same as everybody else. If this ruling leads to native abuses, that would be unfortunate. When you are a sovereign nation you are not the same as everybody else.
They are trying to to take over private US citizens property which is in no way just trying to make their way. They are using casino money to pay lawyers to litigate the county into submission and the state right now will in no way help the people of the county being oppressed without representation by a foreign gov’t.

on Alpha news is interesting.
Thanks Dave & Big Gill, debating on buying one from Reeds. Marked way down in their end of season ice sale.
I definitely support avoiding Mille lacs band casinos. Many people are employed by them so there is that aspect to weigh in on. Then they cause social problems providing money without work and then wonder why there is so much substance abuse. Then they try to blame the county, state and US gov’t for their downfalls of a dependent society.
Overall I would say the net effect has been more of a curse than a blessing. Of course some social marxists would disagree and want to further dig their own hole. Do what you want but remember you are cutting your own throat no matter which side of the issue you are on.
But hey that is my opinion based on studying history and the negative social effects gov’t mandates create.
I agree ice was good Sat. The warm weather after that and rain, not sure what happened down there, changed ice conditions dramatically. Will try to post update from observations this weekend. Definitely will be wearing my float jacket and using a spud.
Ok, if it doesn’t work out let us know. Nice set up at a reasonable price.
Nice looking shack, did you sell it? Would be interested in looking at it.
Letting consumers know what is out there is doing a service to the community. They can negotiate a fair price based on the market conditions.
I used fresh water shrimp on BLG years ago with astounding success. Very hard to find now, thanks for the update on Blue Ribbon. I’d better get there now that the word is out.
Many people use store bought frozen shrimp for bait. It is killer on rainbow trout bobber fishing. Seen many groups haul their limit out of stock trout fisheries using them.
Ask yourself why would any fish prefer a dirt smelling worm over shrimp?

The ice in pool 4 was getting bad with Mondays 40’s before the rain Tuesday. I would think it is worse down that way? Better wear a life jacket if you decide to try your luck on the ice. I would ask a local bait shop or guide before deciding to venture out.
You better go buy a clam then I guess huh
I will when the price is right. We are in a recession and prices are coming down. The good ol days of over charging and blaming supply chain shortages are mostly done with for now. That gimmick is dead for now.

How does that all you can eat buffet sound now?The buffet has been closed since the pandemic started. I loved the seafood buffet there when they had it though. They lost money on me when I dove into those snow crab legs.
Had no idea it was closed. Thanks for the update, there goes my plan of eating them out of business.

$949 at Marine General, better deal if you offer cash. You better drive to marine general then
Why do that when Reeds still has the Clam Jason Mitchell Thermal X – 2 Angler – Side Door 15962 marked down to $862.99 from $1149.99?
Many clearance deals out there. No need to pay retail when retailers are starting to clear them out. Even Otter has them marked down to $949 but they are all gone, possibilly a closeout price.
Tribal lawyers all paid for with casino money!!! How does that all you can eat buffet sound now? How about some one arm bandit?
KPE thanks for pointing out the reality of follow the money. Many in government have learned how to milk large corporations, MN is way ahead of most.
That being said we do need to monitor possible carcinogens being released in our industrial society. I wonder how much of that 3M settlement went to fund trial lawyers new homes full of PFAS? I wonder how much of the funds the state received will have anything to do with the cleanup? How much went into special project slush funds? We all know how that game is played.
Reeds cleared them out for $849, they are clearing out a lot of ice fishing products. I suspect there’ll be a lot more of clearance ice fishing gear this year with the poor ice.
