Lol. Definitely has some spine issues. Its a tough fish to last this long and get that big.

Last year i caught it in late December so another month plus of eating good it will probably be back over 8lbs. Maybe its just getting old. If i catch it again its going back right away. No pics or scale. Ive put it through enough lol

I caught her again almost 1 year later at the same spot. A little longer and a little lighter

Easiest way for me is to take a screenshot of the pic. Otherwise the website blocks the original pic

Ive been catching them on 1/8 oz jigs and twister tail plastics. In shallow rocks close to deep water.

I am going to try some geecrack bellows shad baits. Realistically will go back to a moon eye jig and pulse R paddle tail that works 80% of the time

Just delt w this on a 2007 alumacraft. Unfortunately those bubbles are probably caused by a wet transom. I would bring it to a lund dealer and get a professional opinion.

No. Even if i did this wouldn’t be on the radar for purchasing. Marcum has never been reliable or durable

*edit- I thought ‎LFVL-8 was the lite flite version but it isn’t. Look for model LFVLF-8 to get the lite flite auger.

I thought the same. Steel auger version arrived from walmart. Scheels price matched the deal and sent the light flight version. Steel model not a great deal

The original walmart link is the lite flight model. Not sure about the amazon one. $277 after tax. Cant imagine finding one much cheaper. They were back in stock earlier this morning but deal seems gone now

Line weight 4-8 but doesn’t show lure weight. Perfect for 1/8 oz jigs.

Id say 1/16 to 1/4 oz

JT panhandler is worth looking at. It’s also a good light duty walleye rod. Id go w the larger reel. Both are super light weight but 1000 has a stronger drag and should be able to cast further w larger spool.

Elliot rods also advertise their guides having a adamantium coating. Same thing as wolverine’s claws

I think the obvious answer for everyone is to just go with Toyota trucks/SUV’s. If you don’t want turbos get one a little older. Just make sure you keep a box of Kleenex handy for every time you fill up and calculate MPG.

After reading the past post’s I thought the same thing. Do some research and try a different brand. I’m sticking w Toyota until they do me wrong. Can’t go wrong w a V8 tundra or Sequoia

Brought the boat into Dan’s and they sent pictures of the boat/ transom to alumacraft. Got a call today saying alumacraft ok’d the repair under warranty!!! I bring the boat into Dan’s, they take the motor off and the boat gets picked up by alumacraft. I’m guessing I will be out a boat for several months but who cares. Pleasantly surprised by the great customer service.

Thanks Dan’s Southside marine & alumacraft!!

Bringing it to Dan’s where it was originally purchased on Monday to get it diagnosed / quote for repair. Will post what they tell me. Probably will go elsewhere for actual repair. Unfortunately it’s probably the electrical I did or the transducer plate I mounted. Depending on what they say I’m tempted to patch the holes and at least be able to fish local/ smaller lakes. No noticeable flex in transom
