50:50 Water Vinegar Works great.
X2! Put it in a spray bottle and mist it on as you dry the boat.

I may be on the younger side of this crowd (30) but do all of the things that have been mentioned. I have changed oil on all my vehicles since before I could legally drive. I cut and split wood(hand built hydraulic splitter my grandpa built) to heat my home. Started out with my dads saw which was his dads saw and cleaned and can tune the carb by feel on that thing. It still runs like brand new just yesterday! I did finally by a brand new one this spring. I sharpen my 20″ chains with a file still and in under 7 minutes. I have carried a pocket knife since I was 5. And yes, even to school through all grades. Even borrowed it to a teacher a few times! I can still tie a fair amount of the knots we learned in Boy Scouts. I buy and eat chicken eggs from a local farmer when I can. There are many more things as well.
Otherwise just transfer them to artificial bedding (Buss bedding) with as little dirt on them as possible of you can’t find them already in paper. And when crossing say “Yes, crawlers in artificial bedding.” Has never caused me trouble.
Everything I own from the weed whip to my big outboard run non-oxy, Nothing!! else will ever go in them
Same here! Except the car and truck which are designed for ethanol fuel. Ethanol fuels tend to burn hotter and can cause damage over time to small engines that weren’t designed for it.
I think it shows you on the Al Lindner vid. It works with the foot pedal as well. I think there is a button you use to select steering or up and down. And then you use the steering arrow buttons (l/r) to go up or down when that option is selected!
Headed up to the Canadian side next week! Can’t wait to hear the report! Looks like the weather is going to be awesome.
Carlisles here too. Going on the 4th or 5th year with several long mileage round trips a year. 500-800 miles per trip, at least half of those miles at 70-75 mph up MN 35 to Canada. I always inflate about 5-7 psi over the sidewall recommendation to keep the tires cooler at higher speeds and rotate them side to side at least once if not twice a year. No complaints either. They used to have troubles with them but I think they have greatly improved over the last 10 yrs or so. Just make sure you get the right load rating and keep an eye on the psi and you should be good!
Working quicker today. I also toggled between the preinstalled android browser and Chrome. I found Chrome is far quicker for this site for all of those who are having sluggish browsing. Keep up the great work IDO team! This site was always good and now it ROCKS even with a few kinks the need tweaking!
Very cool! That’s going to add some sweet footage to the episodes I’m sure! Have you entertained diving under the ice in the winter? The marcum footage is nice but diving footage is waaaaayyy better!
That would make and awesome looking mount! Very Colorful fish. The biggest I’ve ever caught was about 8″ no where near as colorful.
Just have proof of registration/ownership. They generally don’t check it but may ask you if its your boat.
When on the water the MNR will check for these things :Make sure you have a fire extinguisher, a paddle of some type (I prefer collapsible), throwable cushion, and a Canadian boat kit. I believe You can still get those at Fleet Farm. They consist of a floating rescue line, pea less whistle, the container it comes in county’s as your bailer, and there may be a few other things in it.
I would be more worried about passport stuff being in order than anything. No live bait except for crawlers in artificial bedding.

Or I would use the pay launch on the south end.
I’d rather pay a little than have to deal with the mess you describe and people that are too cheap to launch there. Plus its lit for loading after dark!
Great job! I fish a few lakes and rivers where I found the same thing. And a bonus is that the rough fish tend to leave the smaller bait alone more.
Im not sure what the sticker means but I can tell you a 4 blade prop made a huge difference in my application! I have a 115 opti on a 17.5′ deep v with a full windshield. I think it had a 21p 3 blade and was way over propped when I bought it. Didn’t know much about propping so just put a hydrofoil on it and let it be for a few years. After doing some reading I decided to try some props that were suggested by the local prop shop. Did some more reading and settled on the quicksilver nemesis in a 4 blade 19p, its still an all aluminum prop. They ordered it in for me and were willing to let me return it if i didn’t like it. It has a much better hole shot, better slower speed to keep on plane, better hold out while making corners, and added almost 4 mph to my top speed! Went from 38-39 to 42-43 mph. They have a smaller diameter for less flex, but with the 4th blade they push more water. I would suggest finding a local prop shop or marine dealer that will allow you to borrow or at least purchase and return props until you find one that works. Find the right pitch prop that puts you in your recommended max rpm and play with different types and brands until you find one that suits your needs. Good luck!
Find some dark bottom bays, and a creek inlet would be a plus. The water warms faster in these locations and they are more active. Toss light jigs with minnows or smaller plastics. Fish them early morning and towards evening for the bigger fish. Good luck!
If the above technique doesn’t work I would try a slip bobbed and a larger lively fathead or chub if they are available. A leech would be ideal but water temps like that are too cold. A light jig with a plastic that makes it fall slowly might get that reaction strike as well.
Yes, generally they will still go through the spawning process. And some will not. I would fish it like a normal reproducing lake. If its not working switch it up and move deeper. They will be food driven so find the bait and you should be set!

Anyone eat turkey burgers? They sure have come a long way since they were first introduce. Not bad. Sure, I still prefer beef burgers, but I won’t turn my nose up at turkey.
I’ve had a few as well. They are a good change of flavor once in a while! I do slap son thick cut bacon on them though.

On mine the kill switch cord has a loop on the end that goes over a trigger similar to a gun trigger that is locked pretty good in place. If I go over, the cord will pull that trigger backwards which releases the cord and kills the motor. To restart you just push that little trigger back into place and the motor will start. Everyone that steps foot in the boat knows how to do this before we leave the dock.
This is how my switch works as well. Still EVERYONE in the boat is informed how it operates if I were to go overboard. I have a wheel boat so the chances are rare that i go over while under way but stuff happens when its least expected.

Your fired from taking pictures of my fish !! Lol. Had a blast
HA funny I was thinking the same thing. I have buddies and a father in law that will take pictures like that. Which is fine but don’t have me smile first!

Roberts Marine great service good guys!
X3! They know their Mercs! Everyone I know that needs work gets my referral to them.
With the v92 tow package it will be the same as the Acadia (5300 lbs). They are essentially the same platform.
There’s been past discussions on the Traverse/Acadia platform and don’t remember hearing anything bad. I own a ’11 traverse and it tows great. And should get about the same mileage towing if not a little better than the bravada. I believe people were towing rigs as big as tandem axle Ranger 620s with out issues. If you do choose either of the three make sure they have tow packages installed (extra or larger tranny cooler, larger radiator, etc.) Not just a receiver hitch. Most of the vehicles will have a tow button somewhere on the dash or steering console if it has the actual package.

10# 832 to 10# pline flouro using double albright knot.
This is what I use but with a uni to uni knot.
Propane torch will work better. About 3-5 seconds back and forth through the tip of the flame and then dip. A quick pass through after will melt if more and glaze it better if you didn’t get it warm enough the first time. Some guys like to bake them after words for a stronger coating but I personally fish snaggy structure and can’t keep a jig on long enough for durability to matter.
Very cool! Looks like quite the adventure. And it looks like you were rewarded as well!
Another option is radiant electric under floor system. It runs over night during off peak hours. Not sure if it can be installed under a garage floor but it works awesome in my in laws basement living space. It cuts their gas heating bill nearly in half being the sand it is bedded in radiates the heat during the day. Likke I said though not sure if it can be placed under a garage floor. If you do a lot of putzing and tend to work on or near the floor a warm floor would be nice!
