yes i have tryed them. Do not get it, the st croix rods dont fit. The guides are to long and the rod tube has to small of a diameter to fit a rod into it. I work at Christophersons bait in Alexandria Mn and we have them for 5 dollars and i still wouldnt buy them. I tryed every rod i own(about 20) in the rod saber and only one thorne bros rod would fit.

On minnewaska ive heard alot of different things. The most recent was a good walleye bite located in the shallow weeds. But,on the other hand ive heard from a lot of different people that theyve been getting them anywhere from 15-20 and some deeper. But, there hve been som hot bluegill bites and a few crappies out there also. Now on lahomedu (please excuse my spelling) there is a city of houses the last place i was crappie fishing was on mary and i limited out there 3 days in a row in 12 fow. But, there is also a very good bite going on oasakis with some very big gills and crappies being caught. I heard rumers of a gill pushing the 2 pound mark. As for seeing you this weekend i will be done working on friday due to college in ely on monday and i need to catch some fish before i leave.

There are still some very nice gills and crappies being produced. I was ice fishing out there last year and i caught a 1.1 LB gill and a 1.9 Lb crappie in one day.
James is right tho, i walleye fish there alot because i live in Alexandria and work at Christophersons BAit shop in alex. The walleyes run basically in the pencil weeds. Anywhere from 7-10 fow.

My fav is a 3mm or 4mm black with 4 glow dots (fiska) tipped with either purple or pink spikes or micro nuggies.

Sounds like what i had to go through on Vermillion also. I go to school in Ely and have been fishing it alot. There has been lots of slush and deep snow. But, the fishing has made it well worth the effort. The walleye fishing has been on fire.

Im sorry i spelled the company wrong. There Maki plastics, i dont now where i got waki from i edited the post though so there isnt any more confusion.

Yes i have some info they are a panfish oriented plastic. The company makes a plastic for about every type of bug out there. They have worked awsome for me but i was just wondering if anyone else has used them before. There website is http://www.makiplastic.com/index.html

I use the thorn brothers case. It has 4 rod sleeves but i have 10 rods in mine, so storage isnt a problem. I highly recommend it.

I watched part of the weigh in today. I only could see the first 3/4 of it but the biggest bag was 10 pounds and they had a total of 16 fish (8 crappies and 8 sunfish).
