phillip, that boat is prop tested with yamaha, if you go to there web site and look at the performance data you will see what they tested and suggest. warrior already fits it with the correct set up.

my hole shot seems good, i have noticed a difference full of fuel vs half full but not bad at all, really heavy seas then i can rely on the trim tabs to help if it were an issue. The Yamaha sho seems to have a good torque curve in it for the hole shot. I cannot speak for the other brands of motors.

Phil, i think i can answer your questions with first hand knowledge. i just took delivery of a 2021 1890 july 5th. what i ordered was a 90 yamaha sho, trim tabs, power steering, ultera, 10ft power pole and it has the vantage on the back. the gas tank is centered from mid boat to the back, the batteries are under the rod locker and so far seem to be plenty of power with good batteries. I personally after running it a month would not have it without power steering, the warrior system is fantastic on long runs or waves it also allows you to focus on adjusting the trim tabs if needed since the control for the trim tabs and power steering are next to one another. i have not had a lot of time with the trim tabs but they seem to be the real deal when it comes to evening out the boat or lifting one side quartering into some waves and i would not even think about not having them, they make a great boat better. i am getting 40.7 mph out of the yamaha sho at wide open throttle if i back it down a few hundred rpm i can cruise at 35-38. dependent on motor i have the tiller handle to allow me to decrease or increase rpm by 100 and that seems awesome especially in the river to troll all day long at 2mph if needed, i did that last weekend. one other thing i ordered was a tandem axel trailer, i have had issues in the past with single axel trailers being at or near weight capacity and was not going to go thru that again so i opted for a tandem and the tandem will tow a lot better over our rough roads. i was looking at the 2090 but could not get over the additional cost to go 8 to 10 mph faster at wot since i am not a tournament angler. if you are in southern mn come take a look.
