    DO NOT run both series and parallel! However if you run the TM in series, then hook the fish finder up to ONE of the batteries for twelve volts you will do just fine. I have it on the both bow and helm graphs of both of my boats and it works great.

    Id rather do that than add a fourth battery or run the power to the starting battery which can cause interference and shut the unit down if the starter drags the voltage too low.

    I agree. You got me thinking, perhaps i”‘ll split the two graphs, one on each of the batteries. That just means another fuse block, but I like it.

    I did not include in the diagram my separate starting battery that is dedicated to the motor. I don’t think I have space for a fourth battery, so I may just have to run the single 12 volt off of one battery. It will get charged a late anyways. That’s good to hear that you cannot run both series and parallel off of the same batteries. That was my main concern. As for the 6 gauge wire, I used the minnkota site which recommended it gauge, & I figured going a little thicker wouldn’t hurt.
