Ha. She had bigger bass!
Is there any truth to the little tale about her being the one to shoot that buck in your avatar picture and you nudging her out of the way just as the picture was taken? lol
Those are nice bass. We were stuck in rain all day yesterday so my day without Mama and fishing got soaked. Happens that way sometimes.

Funny you should ask about that buck. We had pics of it in front of her stand and she hunted 5 days in that stand and no deer. The 6th day she had to take her dad to the doctor and I hunted her stand that day and guess what walked out. The rest is history and she still holds a small grudge.
you are building that new pond so you can fish all by yourself aint ya papadude??? lol
congrats to her !
I’m trying to keep that a secret from her. I’m building it in the back 40 and she never goes back there.
biggill We live down here in gods country in southern Iowa. ice has been out since the 1st of March, I have been too busy to get a line wet, but that is about to change,
So do away with all firearms, will that make our children safe? let us look back on our history. How many of you know of this incident?
Andrew Kehoe blew up the school in Bath Township, Mich. Google it. How do we combat this? I know it was a different time and there were different problems facing people but those people were just as dead as our kids today.
So tell me again How Can We Keep Our Schools Safe?
When people go back to parenting their children instead of keeping them drugged to control bad behavior, maybe then the number of these shootings will drop. When I was a child we didn’t get drugs when we did something wrong we were punished. And I don’t want to hear “they won’t let me correct my kids”. You don’t have to beat a child to teach them right from wrong.
But Prozac, Zoloft and Luvox are not the answer. Just my opinion,
Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Columbine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebolds medical records have never been made available to the public.
Jeff Weise, age 16, had been prescribed 60 mg/day of Prozac (three times the average starting dose for adults!) when he shot his grandfather, his grandfathers girlfriend and many fellow students at Red Lake, Minnesota. He then shot himself. 10 dead, 12 wounded.
Cory Baadsgaard, age 16, Wahluke (Washington state) High School, was on Paxil (which caused him to have hallucinations) when he took a rifle to his high school and held 23 classmates hostage. He has no memory of the event.
Chris Fetters, age 13, killed his favorite aunt while taking Prozac.
Christopher Pittman, age 12, murdered both his grandparents while taking Zoloft.
Mathew Miller, age 13, hung himself in his bedroom closet after taking Zoloft for 6 days.
Kip Kinkel, age 15, (on Prozac and Ritalin) shot his parents while they slept then went to school and opened fire killing 2 classmates and injuring 22 shortly after beginning Prozac treatment.
Luke Woodham, age 16 (Prozac) killed his mother and then killed two students, wounding six others.
Andrew Golden, age 11, (Ritalin) and Mitchell Johnson, aged 14, (Ritalin) shot 15 people, killing four students, one teacher, and wounding 10 others.
TJ Solomon, age 15, (Ritalin) high school student in Conyers, Georgia opened fire on and wounded six of his class mates.

It’s funny you should ask about the profile deer. A couple of years ago The Boss Lady had this deer show up on the camera in front of her deer stand. So she decided that it was HER deer and she was going to shoot it that year.
Well opening day of the early muzzle loading season found her in her stand bright and early Saturday morning. she hunted that morning and evening but saw nothing of HER deer, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday all were the same, plenty of smaller deer but no sight of HER deer.
She had to leave on Wednesday and take her father to a doctors appointment so I told her I planned on hunting her stand that day but not to worry I PROBABLY would not shoot HER deer if it shows up.
Low and behold around 9;AM her deer stepped into the field, broadside at 50 yards and just stood there daring me to take the shot.
It only took about 3 months for her to forgive me. Was it worth it?
HELL YES.
Actually she was a good sport about it and said she was glad I got it but I could no longer hunt her stands.
I am very blessed to have a woman that loves spending time in a deer stand and in the bass boat with me. I have been retired for 10 years and we spend our days hunting and fishing and enjoying our 160 acre of timber. Lately we have been helping youngsters get into the outdoor fun of hunting and fishing. That is as much fun as doing it yourself.
And that is the story of my dastardly deed and HER deer.
Congratulations Saddletramp! I retired in 2007 and I must agree I’m busier now than when I worked everyday, that being said I now take a cat nap every day and I find I can’t do things as easy as I could 20 years ago and that is a very important thing to keep in mind. If it takes longer to get a task done, so be it, don’t push it slow down and smell the roses. Most of all ENJOY your retirement, that’s what those 42 years were spent getting ready for.
Again Congratulations
She’s hardcore alright but the old man takes care of her, here is the ground blind I built for her and installed a 18000 btu heater. She is afraid of heights so she sits on the ground.
SCRATCHER We are in south central Iowa about 30 miles north of the Missouri border. here is another one from 2 days ago
Yeah this is our front yard, and she does like her bass fishin. we also have a pond in the back yard and I’m putting another one in next spring.
I didn’t weigh it, I gave it to my brother, he wanted to get one mounted.
We see one once or twice a week while deer hunting and have seen them in our yard several times, of course the house is 1/4 mile from the road. Trapped this one a couple of years ago.
