    I have my one of my grandmother’s hymn book from when she was doing missionary work with my grandfather for 10 yrs. in Papua New Guinea in the 1940’s.

    I love Iowa..I love the midwest period..it’s human nature to take for granted what we have. loved my first train crossing,first deer sighting, first snowfall, first time on a cornfield..all so exotic and first catfish..that was first fish I ever caught here in Iowa and especially the people and friends I’ve met here

    Grumpy Old Men tourney..reminds me of this old man who yelled “bass boats and idiots” at me and Fb on our last trip up to the Mississippi.. I thought it was funny at first til he passed by and wrote down our lic.#. who goes fishing with a paper and pen in hand

    A while back while I was fishing at the bridge by mohawk park, these guys showed up with a net and were netting bait fish, I’m assuming they were chubs? they didn’t keep the shads they just left it on the road.

    btw the we need rain..the cedar is too low.. spent half the day with FB tryin to get the boat off sandbars..
