You better find one on someones lot now, because the word is Lund has discontinued the Explorer line for 2013 model year.
Good luck!May 19, 2012 at 7:18 am #1069313mossy- Well that is already getting started in some states if you do any wading. Some areas are requiring cleaning and disinfecting your waders because you can transfer with your waders. Felt soles are the number one culrpit, but even rubber cleat soles can transfer it too. The worst is the didymo algae. It has gotten into the White River here and you know this is a world class trout fishery. Most likely the fly fisherman traveling around world making stops at every trout stream they hear or read about, and not thinking about cleaning their waders. It is a shame to see that hanging on the trees and rocks, when the water level drops the stuff turns white when it dries, but can keep living for several days maybe even longer.
Manufacturers are starting to make removable felt soles, where you can snap them on and off, making them easier to clean and disinfect them.
May 19, 2012 at 6:54 am #1069312This one is not about card fraud, but of a new fraud scam. Sorry for the length of post.
I get a call a couple weeks ago, about April 16 I recall, from US Government on caller id, Not too worried as I am attorney and do bankruptcy, but see not from our area code. Message left was from IRS asking me to call this particular person. Uh oh, anytime from them, well you probably think same thing. I was out of town next few days, and then call comes in at 7:30am one morning, same number. Agent identifies their self, and asks me to verify some info on my law office employer Id number, etc. He then proceeds to ask if a certain person (Hispanic name) was an employee, No, I am a sole practitioner. I then ask what’s up. He tells me this person filed a W-2 and 1040 showing my PA made $43,000 and paid him $13,000. He said it was flagged as
suspicious, and he would of course deny the refund, and go after that person (I doubt they will ever find him).I was surprised the scammers had found my EIN, but evidently they are available since public record, but they are searching public records to look for business names to do this type of scamming. Afterwards, I wished I had asked how much refund they had tried to get, because I had just seen the article about the tax refund scam where the filers (mostly Hispanic names) lists 8 or 10 or more dependents, including nieces nephews etc, so they could get refunds of $10,000 and more.
March 31, 2012 at 2:51 pm #1054484Did the new MX 20 make it to the sport show? Any word about when? Have not heard, so I guess Skeeter does not have it ready yet?

Half the people that posted are all p’d about him keeping the fish . This epidemic must be everywhere!
Yeah, and some of them look like supposed pro’s ? Don’t they know how a sate record works ??? Release it ??? My god…. they are all just jealous cause some catfisherman stole their fish BK…where you at ??
But he was not catfishing- his buddy in front of boat was cattin’, but he was bassin off the back deck.
Until the IGFA and other organizations agree on some way to accept hand scales, measurements and eye witnesses there is no way to catch a record fish without taking the fish.
OH Wait the IGFA does that already, of course only they do not require weight by even hand scales or actual physical measurements, but just the word of family members who ate the fish, who claim the walleye from Old Hickory Lake in Tennessee was 25 lbs plus. Even though scientists and experts in map imaging determined the walleye was closer to 18-20 lbs and in no way close to 25 lbs.
This bass was past it’s viable spawning age, so taking it will in no way hurt the future spawn of bass in that lake.
March 2, 2012 at 4:04 am #1045241The CG formula to calculate the HP rating (remember the regs apply to boats under 20ft in length- the mfgs determine their own limits on 20+ boats but am sure their ins liability carriers undoubtedly have a big say) the formula is:
factor = width(in feet) x length then this “factor” determines the formula- to use- if the factor is more than 52.5, which is any boat more than 4′ beam and 13′ plus length; then formula is:
(you can raise hp to next multiple of 5)
If boat has remote steer and at least 20″ transom, (2 x Factor – 90 = HP) Exmple 18.3″
If no remote steer OR transom less than 20in,
(0.8 x Factor – 25 = HP)Width is maximum transom width in feet excluding handles, attachments and extensions, If boat does not have a full transom, th transom width is the widest beam in the aftermost quarter length of the boat.
Example- Remote steer- 96″ width(8′) 18′ 3″ length
8 x 18.4 = 147.2 factor — (2 x 147.2 -90 = 204.4hp) or rounded up to 210 HP but no 210 HP motors so set it at 200.Tiller- Same size boat- (0.8 x 147.2 -25 = 92.76hp) or rounded up to 95hp no 95hp motors so 90 rating.
March 2, 2012 at 3:17 am #1045236My my- look what I started
Have to wait till summer, bummer, maybe will have take a trip to Kilgore TX, and get a sneek peek! Its only a 4 1/2 hour trip.February 19, 2012 at 3:20 am #1040513Make sure you set it up using a bank escrow account where the a fully executed deed from seller(not recorded yet) is placed into the account, and you send your payments to the bank escrow. That way if something happens to the seller, the contract survives and you can complete the deal. The bank will disburse your payment, such as paying the mortgage if one exists. Sometimes sellers get into financial trouble and use the money and not make the mortgage payments and the property get foreclosed unknown to you until you make the last payment and find out seller no longer owns the property! There are other fact situations where the using escrow is good idea.
February 15, 2012 at 4:32 am #1039060Finally was able to crawl around in the MX1825. I have to say the boat is everything that has been said about it. Skeeter definately put their best foot forward with this boat. I can only say, if Skeeter has a 20ft MX in the works I am throwing my hat in the ring for one. I like the 1825 but a 20ft would be the ultimate!
The factory rep at the St Louis show this past weekend, (he was the bass boat rep) had nothing but high praises for Dave’s video and said he used it to prep himself to talk about the boat at the show.
February 3, 2012 at 12:31 am #1034848Thought I would weigh in on this, after reading the replies, you mention the “majic weight” of 475 lbs for the MX1825 but that would even prevent putting even the F150 on it which comes in at 491 lbs. And Skeeter is shipping the boats with F150. Their cut off weight must be somewhere closer to 600lbs, because if you put a F150 and a 9.9 kicker at 114lbs max, you come in at 605.
The F200 is 605, and with kicker you’ve got 719lbs.
To add to this conversation, someone from Washington state rigged his Ranger 620 with the 250 VMaxSHO (yes SHO and dealer with authorized kit from Yamaha changed shaft to 25in.) This was discussed on WC and confirmed it was a VMaxSHO and not the Offshore. So maybe there might be way around the weight issue since the VMaxSho 200 is 505lbs and add maybe 11 lbs for longer shaft and midsection.
January 22, 2012 at 1:34 am #1030842Hey welcome aboard. I have to agree with the other guys. The 1975 is a heavier boat too and with the weight of motor, and your added gear plus passengers, you should max the hp for the best performance. You can consider the 200hp, L4 Verado which is much lighter than the 6cyl 225 Verado and would run the 1975 very well. If you dont want the Vrod, maybe the Yamaha 225 Offshore.
January 12, 2012 at 4:20 am #1027128Sharp looking boat, but am partial to Lund red! Good choice with the 200 Verado. Have the 1875 setup in mind, but with full windshield. Lund is still doing the 175 Verado upgrade at the 150 price. Local dealer has one on lot, with 175, rigged with options I plan to pick, but no kicker. However, not a problem as planning to mount kicker manual control and use Panther electro steer and TrollMaster. I like idea I can move around and control the kicker.
September 16, 2011 at 8:25 pm #995386This is exciting news. I like the layout of MX1825, so with a 20ftr and 250SHO, WOW. Is Yamaha adding a 25in shaft a standard option for the SHO for 2012? Oh if someone asks, yes Offshore and SHO are same powerheads, but the SHO has a racing style lower unit, to help cut drag for the screamin fast bass guys.
August 20, 2011 at 1:56 am #989698If Lund prices this out around 33-34,000 with a 150 Vrod, Lund may have another hot selling boat in 2012, like the Impacts have been for 2011.
August 20, 2011 at 1:51 am #989696I’ll chime in too; the 90 with VTS will be plenty, especially weight wise for the transom, and you said a Vector TM,do you mean Vantage? which is what MK sells today not the Vector. I would sell the T-8, maybe consider a Vantage 101 lb thrust (36 volt) which will need 3 TM batteries, but would give out standing all day trolling even in rough weather for the 1825.
May 12, 2011 at 3:18 am #965459This model series appears to be ideal for our southern reservoirs. I like the lower side profile, the rear deck with livewell access lid. The rear jump seats in the WX series has been a sticking point for me. Would hope to see a 19-5 model because just under 20 would be great for guiding, even for the striper guys.
