we have turned turkey camp into a deer camp vibe. Their is close to 10 of us that hunt and hang out around the farm. Lots of free time to get projects done and fix deer stands. we were 9/10 last year. we hunt alot of property we get permission on. Have to give my brother in law credit he started hunting with no on else and the group really expanded during covid. Its a fun time to get together.

The Games on Friday and Saturday made for a great day of watching basketball. The crowds were big and loud both days.

Well one girl moved from Duluth Marshall to Crosby if she had transferred she would have had to sit out a year. So they are either moving or finding a loop hole.

Some of the Public Schools are getting no better then Private schools. Cherry has two Kids Sundquist and Brown who Transferred in. On the Girls side Crosby best to players are transfers even their Media guy stated it. The one unfair advantage a private school has is being able to manipulate their enrollement

Was some great championship games and crowds. I was down their Friday and Saturday and Albany as able to pull off the perfect season.

Grassy Narrow posted this exact post on their facebook. Should be interesting to see what happens. We head up early June. I know Covid was very hard on the tourist and fishing Industry in Canada wondering how this will affect it.

Last year my son wanted to go and had him shoot a few times. He was not ready to pull the trigger and was a bit gun shy. He was in the blind with my dad and uncle and loved going out. Has been in the deer stand with me and killed a few deer. I was really nervous about him being gun shy and my dad said he will tell you when he is ready. This year took him out with a 20 gauge and bird shot and no hesitation and he is ready to hopefully kill a turkey. We are starting a ” turkey camp” much like deer camp. Last year we were 8/9.

When I was 16 I traveled to Russia and lived there for three months as an exchange program. One of the most interesting parts of this trip was going to all the WW2 battle sites and Museums. Also listening to the history of the war told from their point. Most of us only get to here it from the American point of view. As someone who enjoyed History this was very interesting. Living their gave me such a deep respect for our country.

Have some cousins over the years who have wrestled for Staples with the last name Becker. Grew up hunting by where the hospital is now. My friend coaches where I grew up not to far away and I think it was five years ago they Won back to Back State titles and placed 4th the year before. They were loaded those years and were a blast to watch. Even though I prefer to watch basketball.

I have quiet the kit that I bring on hunting or fishing trip. I have a medical/EMT back round. I have super glue, CAT tourniquet, Stitch kit, Gauze Band aid, Bolt cutter. Its basically my ditch kit from when I was an EMT. When we go to Canada we are 10 miles from the landing and 40 minutes from the nearest town.

I also just updated my fire extinguisher.

I don’t watch his show to often expect for the grassy narrow episode fishing muskies. We usually know a few of the spots he stops at.

Thanks for all the responses and Help: Yes we know to keep an eye on ice conditions and changing seasons up there. We keep in contact with the resort so we know if or how to travel. I am Mostly a walleye fisherman but witha 9 year old I have started to chase other things as It holds his interest. This is the only trip all I year I go on without him and we choose to chase trophy pike. I like keeping a few fish as its not the sole purpose of the trip as I cant eat them anyways.

Again thanks for all the suggestions and good luck to everyone still fishing

Lake of the woods has a slot from what 30-40 inches so I guess we will keep fish below that to take home and if we keep one over it will be to put on the wall.

The ones at stoplight come with the sticker that is why I get them there. They are spendy about a buck a minnow for frozen smelt. We have done the Hot dog before and the smelt and live minnow always outfish them and its not close.

I bought the 24V a couple years ago. I have no complaints about this auger. I really like how light it is and the ease of cutting a hole. Have even let my 9 year old drill a few holes.

One episode in and it is very well made. I was 7 at time so I do not remember much about it besides what I seen in the movie.

Once again after watching this thanks again to any veteran who has served.

I had a feeling all week that the eagles would win a blow out. I had a feeling they were going to control the line of scrimmage but I never imagined they would win by this score. I predicated 14 points. Was impressed how the chiefs shut down the run game. Great teaching point to my son about how you win a football game is by winning the line of scrimmage.

BC we did the same thing started drilling holes by standing on the tail gate. The trip we took was some time in March because no other fishing was open in the state we went up there for a bachelor party.
