    Sounds like you had some good action at least. Losing game always sucks,but at least you can honestly say you gave it your all.

    I unfortunatly had to work again today, so all I had the pleasure of was watching flock after flock of Specks and big ducks heading south overhead. . I am taking the kayak out in the am to float a stretch of the republican and see if I can do any good there. We had ALOT of ducks move in here in the last 24 hours . Hopefully I can shoot straight and put some meat in the freezer .

    Waterfowler here as well. We are seeing a few mallards, but mostly still blue and green wings. I am heading up north of mullen tommorrow to see if I can bust a few up there. I only wish I was half as good with my shotgun as I am with a rifle and pistol. I am going to be up in south sioux city next week for a few days, had thought about taking the boat up there, but a few of us are going to take some dekes and our shotguns for an evening hunt instead.

    Brian, I have to stop and think about it when I am talking to a civilian. The 24 hr time thing is just second nature. Dad was Army, now me etc.. We are gonna have to hook up and wet a line this fall sometime. I am not too far away from Lex.

    Yeah its great news actually. We have wanted to move to area for a number of years. The timing just really sucks.But hey if all I have to fdo is deal with bad timing and calender crunching for a bit to live where we want to then its a small price to pay.
    Forgot to mention we already have a house south of town 15 acres on the republican river. Cant ask for much more than that.

    Not sure about Merritt as of yet. Work will dictate that. I am planning on fishing the fisher roofing tourney at Mac in Aug though. I may be needing a partner for that one.

    You must have read my mind. I Do love to fish red willow, but with location concerns I would have to agree on Harlan. There might even still be water in it by then with the inflow they are getting.

    Zach, I am heading down to Arkansas next week and wont be back until just before the Gov. Cup

    You wouldn’t need to even start your truck engine just tie a bedsheet to a pole and make yourself a sail today . Might have to ride the brakes a bit though to keep it under the speed limit.

    Ben has some pics he took at the weigh in and said he willposting them as wella s a wrap up. He was still at the lake when we took off this afternoon.
