    Hey Ryan,
This is Eric from Skeeter Boat Center here in Ramsey.
Noticed you were taking a look at the WX1910 and just wanted to reach out and let you know that if you have any questions on this boat or any others I would be more than happy to get them answered for you.
We do have a couple 2017 1910’s left and ’18’s will start rolling in shortly.
Feel free to shoot me an email at [email protected] any time.
    Thanks again!

    Howdy sir,
I just ran out and measured a Solera and with the tongue swung and the motor trimmed down it measures right at 22ft.
That boat does have an 8 inch set back which the WX1910 does not so there is
    some of the difference.
Hopefully this helps and if you have any more questions or would like to go for a ride in one or just crawl around in one I would be more than happy to meet up with you.
Feel free to give me a buzz on my cell at 651-387-5905

    Howdy sir,
Which Garmin unit are you thinking about hooking up?
    That may determine ducer.

Having used both Humminbird and Garmin I would say both have been very good units and you will probably be happy with either one.
If you are thinking you may want to either now or down the road hook up to a trolling motor you may want to take a good hard look at the Helix 9.
If that is not something you are interested in I would say the EchoMap is a great unit for that $ and with the built in updatable mapping, Clear Vu, awesome 2d sonar, ease of use, and slightly lower price point, I would have a hard time not choosing that one.
If you are looking at a Helix9 G2DI I believe you will be at the same price as the EchoMap 93SV so that makes that decision even easier.
    Hope that helps!

    Hey Bucky,
There will be everything from Stand Up Paddle Boards to 30ft Pontoons with multiple 300 horse motors and everything in between.
I’m not sure that you will get a better deal “at the show” than you would if you walked into the dealership that day but I could be wrong in some cases.
    What are you looking for?

    I second Danny’s response.
I have had quite a few people tell me they were disappointed in the mapping on there new Garmin unit, but after going in and seeing their map detail was set on “normal” and then we switch it to “most” it really improves the detail.

Just to piggy back on Cal’s post a bit.
We will have both packages available for the very reasons you bring up.
One thing I will ad is one thing to look at when considering which ever boat/motor combo you choose is you can very your performance quite a bit with propping on this one.
We have about 3 different prop options we go with on a regular basis depending on what your goals are.
I would be more than happy to get into that a little more in depth (no pun intended…… OK maybe a little) either at the open house or feel free to shoot me a msg here.

I have had both units and was impressed with both.
I would agree with Danny in that if you are not going to use Panoptix the original 73SV is REALLY hard to beat for that $.
When I used that one I was very impressed with sonar all around whether it was traditional 2D, SV or DV.
And being able to get the latest software to do Quick Draw and color shading to me is huge.
Good luck with you choice. I think you will be happy no matter which one you choose………..
I guess that probably didn’t help at all. LOL

I will throw in my .02 as far as the case options.
I have had quite a few buddies mount several different 7″ units on a Genz Blue Box and they have all worked very well.
Once you have it mounted take it to Cabela’s or somewhere similar and take a look at the small tackle/duffel bags they carry.
I have found them in the bins usually by the fly shop.

    Usually more than double easy.
It’s amazing how quickly they can put on 4-5 miles and mine is not a “big running” dog.
That collar has a lot more features that I have found very handy just a lot to list. LOL

I use the Garmin Alpha which is a collar, trainer, GPS combo on my Pudelpointer and have been 100% satisfied with this collar.
It has tone, vibrate, electric stimulation and in the settings you can set it so if your dog is on point it will emit a tone and vibrate on the handheld part to let you know the dog is on point then if need be you can just fallow the GPS screen to find the dog. (I do also use a bell or sometimes a beeper in the woods so I don’t have to be looking at the screen all the time.)
I also like to be able to reset the info before each hunt so I know how many miles the dog travels and how much I do. (always amazed how much ground the dog covers.)
Another thing I really like is I can put a “map chip” in the hand held part and it is a great hand held GPS.
I have a chip for public hunting lands, I have a snowmobile chip that gives me trails throughout the Midwest and I can also put a lake chip in the see depth contours etc. for ice fishing.
I know they aren’t cheap but for what you get I think it’s a pretty good deal.

We did take a boat with.
I met a guy who lives out there a few years back and he had us bring a boat and he brought his as well so we had 4 guys in 2 boats.
There was a lot of oil guys in town when we were there but my buddy had plenty of places to hunt.
I think between the 4 of us we caught about 50 walleyes in just a few hours and were back in time to do some hunting before dark.
It was the first time I had ever driven down a dirt road and had 20-30 birds jump up in front of us. (had not hunted out of Minnesota at that time. LOL)
Like I said, it would be a bird hunters dream destination for a couple weeks or so in the fall.
You pick your poison, pheasants, ducks, geese, (Black or white) you could do it all!
We did run into a blizzard of sorts on the way home so that kind of sucked!

    Great trip!

I hunted Crosby a few years ago and had the same reaction you did, WOW there are a lot of birds!

The only thing that made the trip better was there is a power plant lake not far from there where during the afternoon we would go and catch silly numbers of walleyes and the occasional monster largemouth.

Cool place this time of year.

    Yes sir!

Had a blast, saw quite a few birds, a fair amount of corn still in when I was there so they had plenty of places to hide but just driving to the fields in the morning and seeing as many birds as we did was enough to get you pretty fired up for the day.
Brought home plenty of birds for us and was able to give a few to some friends who aren’t able to hunt anymore.

    We hunted Hettinger ND.
Saw quite a few birds but a lot of crops still in so they knew exactly where to go.
Dog worked great! Solid solid points and had some awesome retrieves.
Talked with the breeder the other night, thinking about getting #2 in the next year or two.

I have used one and am not going to say “I would not leave home with out it” but just a couple examples I have seen it have an effect was I was fishing a shallow pad field and it was QUIET! no fish moving, no bluegills popping etc.
I turned it on and within 5-10 minutes I had a bunch of gills popping like crazy under the pads and things just seemed to wake up.
The other example that comes to mind was on a trip up to Chequamegon Bay doing some summer time smallie fishing where I was fishing kind of a deep trough and on my graph you would see the fish pull off the bottom, swim up to the trolling motor and check it out then head back down.
With that being said, I guess if I had a couple hundred bucks burning a hole in my pocket the Hydrowave is something I might take a hard look at.

My family and I went up to Vermillion last Thursday through Sunday (we tent camped at McKinley State Park near Tower. Great place!) with some friends and their kids.
I had never fished the lake before so my plan was to go out, catch a few fish for a fish fry and then go play around with the smallmouth after that…….. NOT SO MUCH!
We fished all day the first day and marked fish everywhere to no avail.
Did get on top of a school of fish and dropped a jigging rap on them, ripped it about 3 times and BOOM got hammered. Thought “here we go” then proceeded to not get another bite.
Figured I don’t mind removing a few Y bones so I will just go catch a few pike….. Strike 2.
    We ate hotdogs that night.
Next morning made a pretty hefty run to the west end of the lake and again found a lot of fish on some good breaks and fished the heck out of them with spinners and a crawler, jig, jigging rap, even tried pulling cranks on lead core. nothing, nothing and nothing.
We went in at about 3 to figure out if it was going to be chicken or burgers for diner.
In one last ditch effort we went out at about 5 o’clock not far from the park, (near Ely Island) and found a bunch of fish on a break that went from 15ft and rocks to about 21ft and soft bottom.
We tied on a Lindy rig with about an 8ft snell and a leach…..
An hour and a half later we had 2 limits of perfect eaters.
    SUCCESS!
The camp was great, the lake was as pretty as they come, weather was good, fishing was tough but pretty rewarding once we got the figured out.
Will definitely going back but may not put as much emphasis on the walleye fishing and maybe spend more time looking for smallies.

    Hey Levi,
The NMEA on those units is able to share waypoints, trails, etc. but not sonar.
Garmin does have some “splitters” but not sure off the top of my head if there is one for 2 units to 1 ducer.
Danny Thompson may chime in on that and I will try and do a little digging myself.
A question I have for you is, are you buying the new “CHIRP” units or are you going with last years models?
I ask because they use different transducers, plugs, etc.

On the 2016 EchoMap 93sv and 73sv CHIRP units have a 12 pin transducer plug in and at this time there as I understand it there is not a straight 12 pin US2 cable so you have to get the Minnkota 8 pin cable, plug into the 8-12 adaptor then to the unit.
