Not trying to be a JD Winston here, however fish and game violations or abuses does not discriminate only to the “red man”.
Actually Andy it does, and that is the problem. If I were caught on video breaking the law (wanton waste is illegal even if the <strong class=”ido-tag-strong”>bass was in season), I would be ticketed at the very least.
And I truly try to stay objective in these events, that is what separates the “high ground” from the finger pointing.
Despite what some have posted here, do you or anyone know whether in fact they were ticketed or issued a citation? Maybe…maybe not? Possibly they were?
As far as the discrimination goes, remember the “deer poacher” last year that got off because the law enforcement bungled the warrant allowance and GPS’d his truck and it all got dismissed because of that misstep and everyone knows he’s guilty.
Or “Operation Squarehook” that took years to gather evidence and build the case only to have multiple indictments being dismissed. And FWIW, many involved were the buyers, restaurant owners that were as much or more guilty. No they were not “the red men”.
Andy, maybe this fall someone will pull a 77′ dodge truck with no muffler into your front yard and blast a deer. You can video tape it and nothing will happen. Then maybe your opinion will change. If you don’t see this action as terribly wrong and disrespectful to the property owners and the resource you are part of the problem. How can you possible be objective in this situation??? White, black, yellow, red it does not matter wrong is wrong. This has never been a race issue to many of us, nor did I see any racist remarks on this post. It is wrong and antiquated and should be stopped. It is 2017 not 1853.
