I have a x515 hooked up to my U2. The temp reading is 2 degrees off but the structure is fine.

Try the road bed to the east of the beach. Frogs have been working a bit in the weeds.

It,s not about the average individual at all.July 21, 2010 at 7:58 pm #888358depending on when you come down, the river has been so high it may take 2 months to straighten out. Should be some good fish left behind in the fields.
Good luckJuly 21, 2010 at 7:53 pm #888357Well it just goes to show you can not train the dumb out of stupid.

Nice Wies
I guess foul hooked fish really means gut hooked to him.
A good pair of nippers will cut most any hook.
I know this first hand my buddy was foul hooked in the cheek. I pushed the hook thru the side of his face and cut the hook, backed it out. Released him back to the back deck. With in a few minute he was still alive and catching fish.
This was after a couple of pictures and a few laughs at his expenseJuly 15, 2010 at 6:34 pm #887161
Yes we have all the fun stuff, until you get in some 5 footers. Then things get a bit rough. As for the head slice off stay at the 300 foot line and there should be no slicing going on.
Green fish rule and so does a good sled.
July 14, 2010 at 5:14 pm #886819I use group 29 everstart maxx from Walmart. I use these because there is a Walmart with in 50 miles where ever I fish a tournament. I have had a couple of them go bad in the 6 years I have been using them. They have a 18 month replacement warranty.
I change mine every 2 years and use the old ones in my plow truck or tractor. Four years is a long time for a trolling batteryJune 28, 2010 at 2:21 pm #883117Mine did the same thing and it was the armature. You can check it by trying this. When the motor stops pick it up out of the water and move the prop a 1/8 of a turn and hit the switch. If it takes off then there is propably a flat spot in the armature and it will need to be replaced.
I think mine was 200 to 300 for the repair.Mine was an intermittant problem that only got worse.
I am a bass guy so I am on and off the pedal all the time.
The motor would stop on the flat more and more.
I hope this helps good luck.June 25, 2010 at 1:04 pm #882655I fixed the rattle!! Sold the wheeler for parts to a guy who needed a front end on a wrecked machine.
June 23, 2010 at 2:43 pm #882242I thought I heard on the radio some time ago CANCER caught up with him. I think CANCER touches everyones life at 1 time or another. I know it has touch mine many times.
MISS YOU POP!!!!!!!!June 16, 2010 at 2:59 pm #880491A tube is the most consistent bait for smallies. I use a gamagatsu tube jig head inserted in to the tube, this is an exposed hook rig. I use 3.5″ fish-tech tubes sold in Manhattan, Ks. I like to drag my tube back to the boat.
I prefer 5″ chomper twin tail grub used on a chomper jig head all made by Table Rock Bait and Tackle. This bait is best used by casting it out and hoping it back to the boat 6″ at a time. The jig can also be dragged on the bottom and slowly worked over rocks and other bottom structure.
I use St. Croix Legends 7′ medium/fast action rods and Shimanno symetre reels spooled with 8 or 10 lb Segaur floro line.
Both baits are good for numbers and size but if I had to choose I would choose the fishtech tube in light melon. Try these two baits and you will catch more and bigger fish.

Spro frogs are pretty hot I always seem to trim them up a bit but a good old scum frog is always my go to frog
It’s frog time in Nebraska the weeds are tall and the fish are under them.June 15, 2010 at 12:18 pm #880045Thanks maybe one of these times we will hit just right, but for now on to the next one at Smithville in Platte city, Mo.
June 15, 2010 at 12:13 pm #880044Great job on the step by step. If there is one thing I have learned from doing this year after year it is ALWAYS USE FACTORY REBUILD KITS not the aftermarket ones.
I have to do this on my merc 150 this weekendJune 14, 2010 at 1:03 pm #879667Weather: Rain and Wind Saturday, Rain Sunday
Water: high and stained
Water Temp: 65 to 70
I planned to fish Pease creek. In practice we had a few small fish in Pease. On Saturday a.m. it rained 4″ and the lake rose 8″ and was very muddy in some areas but despite the mud we managed to scratch out one very small limit on watermelon flukes and tubes.
Sunday water had cleared a bit so we went to the dam and caught 2 limits once again very small on crankbaits and spooks. We also fished Prairie Dog and upgraded our limits on watermelon tubes pitched to russian olive trees along the flooded bank.
I Finished in 4th place with 10 fish 6.6 lbs.
First place was won in the north point area on buzz baits around the boat docks. 8 fish 11.25 lbs with a big fish 3.25 lbs.June 14, 2010 at 12:33 pm #879654Thanks Dan!! I decided to install a jack plate on my Charger so I will have to remove the motor for this anyway.
I found my service manual and have not had time to read it all the way thru. I sure will prior to starting the install.June 9, 2010 at 2:44 pm #878487Solved my own problem with a couple of phone calls one to Lowrance and another to Navionics. After the calls it turns out the new 2010 platnium chip is a 4gb and my unit will only support the 2gb chip. I need to return the platnium and get the 2010 premium chip.
As a new user to this site I do appreciate the quick responses and hope to be able to help others in need
Thanks againJune 9, 2010 at 12:36 pm #878445It bleeds down while running and will not trim all the way up under full power. I have a new/rebuilt one in hand and will be installing it in a couple weeks. I have 2 tournaments two fish before I can put it on.
