Artistic Anglers in Duluth does an excellent job. They have done a few things for me in the past, including a pike as well as a 26 inch brook trout replica that was picked up today (caught by my teenage son). Lighting isn’t great, but here is a photo of that beauty.

Yeah, best day we have ever had. We focused on the youth deer hunt Friday and Saturday, saw more moose and wolf sign than deer so we switched to birds, turned out to be the right call.

Yeah it was warm, think we had low 60s. We hunt at our cabin on the north shore – cook county.

My two teenage boys, one of their friends, our British lab and I had a great day on the Sunday of the MN school MEA break. 3 man limit. We hiked a good mile from any accessible atv trail and found lots of birds. My youngest (16) limited out with his .410 side by side. Was a great day.

Good heads up on on Maine Guide company B-man. They have a cool video online that walks through their different designs and talks about their story. Sounds like a great company to support.

I have a pair of 30” MSR lightening ascents and they don’t provide me with enough floatation (6’5” / 240 lbs) in deep powder. They do however provide good traction on icy surfaces.

I think I’m going to order a pair from Maine Guide, I spend most of my time on the north shore.

I have had a skin mount and a few replicas done by Artistic Anglers, they do great work and plan to use them again. They have done a pike, lake trout, speckled trout, steelhead and a bonefish for me.

    I think I prefer replicas.

I have one for my 2020 wx2200 that I rarely use and would potentially sell.

I presume it’s compatible but don’t know for certain.

They work great. Have 3 of the 15 gallon cans but they do get heavy when full. I had the prior version of their hand pump, the crank broke on the pump/siphon housing this winter – sub zero day. I called the company, they gave me a reasonable deal on the new version of their pump which is far more durable (or so it seems).

Will likely add a fourth container for diesel as well.

Does it typically run smoothly at low idle? If so I’d take it if Tim decides he is not interested. Thanks

I have a black ARE z2 on my 19 Sierra Denali I could sell. I just placed an order for a hd 3500 and new topper last week (ordered same topper). Truck is suppose to be here in mid December. I wouldn’t want to get rid of the topper until new truck is here, not sure if that helps you.

Fwiw, I was told the topper is 20 weeks out.

I am also curious if anyone has been able to successfully fit 5 batteries in the battery compartment. I own a 20 2200 and plan to explore this option over the winter.

I have had to use my jump pack a few times this year.

I have a 2200, I mounted mine on the top of the passenger side dash (to the right of the glove compartment). I felt it was too large to try to fit something else on the driver’s side dash with all of the various electronics and I wanted the dash cubby open for various odds and ends. This location also made it quick and easy to wire the antenna on the passenger side, keeping it off the drivers side of the boat. My antenna is not detachable but provides me with good range.

Yeah, I am excited to try the new 2d. On my previous boat I had a gen 1 solix which came with 83/200 transducer, had much better deep water coverage. With the g2 solix and high wide hb transducer on this boat I was losing bottom in 100-200 fow. As a temporary fix, I had a high speed 2d hb transducer installed. I was able to read bottom in 750 fow but fish and structure definition was poor, even in the upper portion of the water column / relatively shallow water. Based on my discussions with airmar, the tm185 should solve this issue. I debated between their hw and medium frequencies but they ultimately recommended the hw for my application.

As per the fish hawk transducer, it’s certainly a nice to have but not a must as far as I am concerned.

The cannon downrigger transducer allows you to bottom track and cycle depths which can be nice, but those features can make line Managment a challenge at times.

Update on my earlier post – Just picked up the boat from winter storage. The folks at Warner’s Dock installed the airmar transducer (as well as an itroll). It took some planning as it’s a large transducer. They have been great to work with / buy from. Plan to get it on superior this weekend.

Placing the controls on the gunnel sounds like a great idea. Mine are mounted vertically on the dash; it is not ideal in rough water.

Ed, I run the same boat. What made you switch to itroll, have you been happy with it? Thanks.

First post for me, this forum was informative and helped me to decide on a Skeeter. I picked up a 2020 wx2200 about a month ago and love it. It’s primarily used on Lake Superior.

Black traxstech tracks with black 4 rod rod trees. Both work great and look sharp; really like the adjustability of the traxstech trees. Tracks are showing some wear, mostly from the downriggers.

Had silver cannon tracks on last boat, like these better.

Here is a photo of the boat, probably have to zoom in to see. It’s more of a fly fishing photo than a boat photo ha, But it the only one I have.

    Cheers – Luke
