Both Elliot and JT rods are great. The Elliot can be gotten with two different handles, one is a little smaller than the other. JT rods on some models can be bought with a Tennessee handle. You have choices.
I can remember as a kid my Dad would get out our 15 foot cane poles and tie them to the door handles of our 59 Chevy and off we would go to do some bank fishing at a small river not too far from our home.
The flags should be flown at 1/2 mast to note the lack of leadership in this state.

About 6 years ago my German relatives sent me a bunch of pictures of my Grandpa and Grandma and my aunts and uncles that I never had a chance to meet. The pictures made it to New York, and that’s where the story ends. I’m still sad about it, and always will be. Thanks USPS.

Karry Kilo, I’m with you. I haven’t used any live bait for 30 years. There was a learning curve of the retrieve using split tails. Once I had the lift and fall retrieve down then found out a little different retrieve was needed for paddle tails. Now I have WAY too many plastics.

KWIK Trip is the worse. On Monday the gas was at $2.58, Tuesday morning it went up to $2.99. It never drops by that much. Usually goes down by no more than 5 cents at a time.

If there is a small town meat locker near you that processes deer, stop by and see if they will save you some too. As far as dyeing does, good luck. When I was tying jigs I tried all sorts of dyes, but none of them were very vivid. So, I stopped trying and ordered all the tails of bright colors and just did the whites I collected. But, that was 30 years ago so maybe things have improved.

Speaking about water, I often wonder about the water we drank in Vietnam,68-69, specially when we were out in the jungle. You didn’t always find a river, so you hoped to find a stagnant pool of water, wipe the scum off the surface, fill your canteen up, and the drop a water purification tablet/iodine tablet in it. When you were thirsty I guess it didn’t make any difference how it tasted. It didn’t kill me as I’m still going strong at 76.
If it’s not MoTown, it just isn’t music. I do mix in some Billy Joel, Neil Diamond, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, and Rodger Miller’s Golden Hits.
