I cried during a Jason Mitchell episode when he caught his biggest walleye and didn’t have a scale in the boat.

I have the resort, and ruined for going back to anything else, highly recommend it.
December 9, 2020 at 2:44 pm #1995723I’m hooked on the Frabill thermals, everything stows away nice, i can get 6 in 5 gallon bucket which is handy at pickup and setting. Also helps a ton with the hole icing over. Various brands in that 15-20 dollar range, so i don’t feel bad about throwing away and replacing them.
December 9, 2020 at 2:41 pm #1995722I had the Marcum wireless for a year. It quit, i put in a new lithium battery since it was rechargeable, and still wouldn’t work. I’ve read water in the cases caused the problem. Don’t know what I’m going with this year, maybe the same with some sort of homemade foot on it to get it a couple inches above the hole.
December 4, 2020 at 2:07 pm #1994096I’m extremely happy with the Garmin preloaded maps, they seem to be pretty accurate.
December 3, 2020 at 1:52 pm #1993779There are alot of these up and down the reservoirs in South Dakota, most are drive through garages below for the truck and boat or toys.

December 3, 2020 at 1:48 pm #1993778I just quoted a 32′ x 52′ with 17′ ceiling height,( basically height to build an entire second floor so 3,328 s.f.) insulated, no garage doors and open floor plan, 6″ concrete slab with rebar @ 18″ o.c. for right around 62,000 that included erection and all materials. Built off of the slab as others have said.
November 25, 2020 at 8:14 am #1991295I used your same setup last year, drilled over 125 8″ holes early season ice at around 25degrees, about 9-12″ of ice. I randomly checked on other days but it always seemed like i ballparked around a hundred, even when the ice got to 16″+. I wouldn’t change anything, I’m completely happy with that.
November 17, 2020 at 8:45 am #1988566Where can a guy find the Cabela’s black friday sale on the 93?
November 16, 2020 at 3:49 pm #1988403I second the Reelfoot lake trip. I lived and worked there for a year and a half, bought another boat to fish it, and it is outstanding for large crappie, as is that time of year/ end of march. It is 9.5 hrs or so from Omaha and right over the border. Nice lodging in the area too.
November 16, 2020 at 2:01 pm #1988343I have to admit that after switching the boat to Garmin this year, i think my Helix ice will be next to go. Same frustrations with my big Helix was not storing settings on a regular basis, my ice Helix seemed to do that alot more, plus the overall menu structure is too many levels to get through for my liking.
November 13, 2020 at 9:17 am #1987505Thank God, the last sane place i guy can go to relieve his mind. Thank You.
November 10, 2020 at 8:40 am #1986697Like everyone else, all new ice gear since i think my last years stuff shoulda caught more fish. Maybe buy some of those Live Target crank baits to to throw in the tackle box because they sure are pretty to look at. Any money left over I’m sure i can burn through it on the first snowmobile I’ve owned.
November 10, 2020 at 8:32 am #1986695They’ve usually migrated through Nebraska by now, it must have been a late hatch.
October 28, 2020 at 11:54 am #1983245I won’t use anything but the Light flight 8″ after using the others, i also run a 20v dewalt with a 6ah, and have no problem drilling all the holes i need bouncing around in a day on 1 battery.
October 13, 2020 at 8:18 am #1979201I have over powered every boat i’ve owned, due to use and personal preference. Never have i had any insurance or licensing issues, and since i took it on myself to mount it, warranty was not an issue either. I had a tree fall on one and it was fully covered regardless of the over powered motor. I did beef up the transom on an 18ft Lowe v jon boat to carry a 90 hp Yamaha, with the rating at 60 hp. I also put a 200 Evinrude on my last 20ft Alumacraft tunnel hull Jon, and added 2 extra factory gussets from the floor ribs to the transom. The local water patrol as well as the local Coast Guard vessels in my area of the Missouri river are both over powered, i have looked at the factory tags on both. The Sherriff’s boat is a Tyee rated at 150, and has a 200, the Guard boat is a Whaler with 2 90hp, rated at 90hp.
October 12, 2020 at 8:32 am #1978893No reason to even start the auger, i watched it several times and for the life of me couldn’t tell what i wanted to buy other than a red swim suit.
September 23, 2020 at 1:22 pm #1974861Post a pic, the round plate in the center needs to be pried out, revealing a center nut for the shifter. Once that is undone, the cover plate can come off where the 2-3 mounting screws can be found( usually Phillips 1/4″ bolts) that you remove to get to the interior guts of the shifter. Keep track of which cable is throttle and shift when you put it back.
September 23, 2020 at 1:05 pm #1974853Spend the money on a good one, i have a friend in that business, and that is the one area he says is worth the money. Cheap cures and sealers that i have replaced on stamped concrete for clients have done more damage than good. Keep the excess in a temp controlled area, and recoat it next year.
September 21, 2020 at 4:09 pm #1974288Excited for the Yuengling partnership with Coors for selling the beer west of the Mississippi. One of the best beers I’ve ever had.

September 21, 2020 at 8:35 am #1974070Same for the Nebraska schedule, it looks pretty rough unless their ability to practice through the shutdown will payoff. Out of the gate with Ohio and Wisconsin is ass backwards from the norm, of 4 losses by the time we play the power teams.
September 9, 2020 at 2:01 pm #1971394I use the 3.5″ or the largest each one makes, until i fish shallower say 10′ i use the 2.5″. The shiver minnows are one of my favorites due to durability, The Johnson Johnny Darter is my next choice. My dead last choice is the Rapala jigging raps, they are extremely cheap in the way they are made and do not hold up on hard bottoms or snag conditions. The fins break, hooks seem cheaper and smaller. They are almost double in price also. Lunkerhunt has a new lifelike version out i believe with a metal fin, which looks durable.
I fished a tournament last week with the new Walleye Nations Creations out of Nebraska, the quality is extremely durable, good colors, and a little larger in thickness. It fished great, but didn’t get a fair chance to test it due to water and conditions. Here is a link showing its durability.Round 2 of the RIP-N-GLIDE durability testing.www.walleyenation.comiWalleye Target Walleye Team Walleye Slayerz Ice Fish Green Bay ICE JUNKIES OUTDOORS® National Professional Anglers Association @OutdoorsFIRST Media Teachin Fishin

September 2, 2020 at 3:29 pm #1970078“So we started to play around with the speed if drop down to 20-25 MPH the trim has a more noticeable effect and we can trim the front of the boat up to eliminate the splashing. At 20-25 you can feel that there is more of the rear of the boat is in the water and as throttle up to WOT you can feel the transition of the boat from being in the water to being on the water.”
I think you answered your question here. This is usually attributed to motor height.August 27, 2020 at 9:08 am #1968589I don’t even need a reminder of when it starts back up, since i didn’t care that it shut down, done with them as well as Roger Goodells puppets. I have to admit with no Bid 10 this year, there is a hell of a viewing schedule gap to fill with another expensive hobby yet to be determined.
August 26, 2020 at 9:56 am #1968268Take a quick look with the motor down out of the water, your cavitation plate or the larger plate going around the lower unit should be level with the bottom of the boat.Sounds to me like the motor is too low.If it isn’t, adjust accordingly, and re-run it before adjusting the prop size. This will drastically affect speed, trim prop size, etc.Too low and the boat will drag, too high and planing issues occur. Also check the shaft length is correct for your transom.

August 25, 2020 at 4:22 pm #1968099I can’t say I’ve heard of one built in a boat, but it doesn’t surprise me. My o6 Verado has a fuel filter and a water separator filter on the motor, water separator is on the left side if you follow the fuel line. Also check your fuel tank vent on the outside of the boat doesn’t have a leaf, debris, or wasp nest in it.

Thanks guys,Thats the exact diagram i used to check that i have them 24v, so my question now moves back to the female plug, that it may have never been wired correctly. It is the type with 4 wires and 4 male prongs inside that slide into the male plug from the Minn-Kota, which i noticed only has 2 live sockets, and 2 blanks. Is this the boat-side socket you have? If so, what color wires are attached to what battery position?
HRG
Thanks, Thats it exactly, i removed the receptacle and found it wired for 12v, but my newer motor plug ( brand unknown/china) pins were not in the same location as the receptacle, tore them both out and ordered a matched set. The boat was newer but the motor was several years old hence the problem. The other owner obviously had a straight 12v motor or switchable setup somehow.
