    Jake-

I would recommend going to a good bow shop that carries most or all of the major brands. Tell them you want to test shoot everything to see what feels the best. Try not to look at the brand on the bow when you shoot it. I did this and ended up with my Matthews but like handguns, different bows fit different people better

We don’t make it but have McDonald’s meats in clear lake make it for us. By far the best we’ve had. They slice it then so it crisps up nice, so that would be my one pointer

I’d be fine if it went down to 2 or 3 fish personally. Also size slots on panfish. Rather catch fish than keep fish

I just use the tables for major and minor times local to where I’m at and weather bug app for weather conditions. Maybe I’m to old school, what does a fishing app tell you? I’ve always applied moon phase, major times, fronts, water conditions to tell me where and how. Something make it easier?

I use the Lakemaster app for mapping on my phone when I don’t have access to a gps unit. Pulling it up on the iPad when driving in the truck on the ice is nice

Lakemaster one boat network for fishing. Best maps and if you have any humminbird products, you can Bluetooth to them (like control a link trolling motor).

OnX for hunting. Much better than hunt stand in my opinion. A lot of new features and map layers that are very helpful like the range finder feature or the oak tree map layer.

Both have a cost but if you use it frequently, I feel they are well worth it. I spend more money on less useful crap.

Not sure what everyone else is seeing but yesterday saw a lot of chasing and the target buck seemed to be on lockdown with some does already

I’ve found that installing a bed rug does a good job of sealing out dust

I took advantage of the helix deals. Happy enough with the tech for the deal I got. Helix 12 MSI G4 CHO for $1299 and then the $500 rebate on top.

One factor that is often overlooked is how many lake homes were bought by investors and immediately turned into Airbnb’s. Especially when rates were low. It’s crazy to look around the Brainerd area at how many rental listings there are.

Most of the 1775s I have seen have the 80hp Yamaha on them. Not sure if this one is a longer model maybe? Boat looks really clean. Just need to decide if it’s worth the 6hour drive to go look at it or wait for a deal closer to home.

For the guys that had the carb’d 4 strokes, did you have any issues starting in cold weather? One of my buddies had an older 2 stroke Yamaha that was very cold blooded

I know some people that have seasonal spots at Beckers Resort on Winnie. I stay there a few times a year in the cabins. Great place, great owners, great fishing. It’s on the Mississippi with a very short run to the lake so the boat docks don’t see waves hardly ever. They also have a pool for the kids

Anyone else wonder how hard it would be to mount a side imaging transducer with those rear floats?

The guys at Oars N Mine in Crosby are always nice in my experience and I’m sure they’d point you in a good direction if you stop in for some bait

Personally, I would recommend checking google for any lawsuits against the brand of food you plan on using. Won’t say which but one of the brands mentioned we stopped feeding our labs because it has been sued due to metal contaminants in the food.

Also a $20-$30 bag of grain free dog food is obviously going to cheap out on what they replace grain with. If you go with a high quality grain free food, less worry. Think of your dogs ancestry? I don’t believe I’ve seen a wolf eat many grains.

We feed our labs the Honest Kitchen. Not cheap but have noticed an improvement in coat and appetite.

Wrap in foil at 160*, pull at 204*, then let rest in the foil wrap for roughly 2 hours before shredding

I was up the same time as you but fished a different area of the lake. We did very well drift jigging with leeches in 12-15’. Bottom bouncing some of the main lake bars. And trolling at night in 6-8’

I use Telstar once a month and then also buy the pucks to throw in stagnant water as we have a little at the bottom of our hill. Definitely helps on mosquitoes, ticks, and Asian beetles

I did like the fish data as it’s a lot easier to use than the DNR site. It would be very cool if you could filter out by what size species you are looking to target and get a list of lakes that have them. Also would be cool to see bottom hardness and vegetation filters

Get ready to be frustrated lol. You’ve got the right idea. You will see a lot of us locals fishing sunset into the dark. Neighbor just told me he caught them last night in 3’ and in 30’

Mathematically, weight loss is a very simple concept. 100% boils down to calories burned vs calories consumed. You can do whatever diet you’d like but if you’re not in a calorie deficit, the scale will not go down. Now eating “healthier” food is overall better for you than junk food, ie heart health. It will also allow you to eat more volume for the same amount of total calories. You should also shoot for .7 to 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. Also, take your body weight, times it by 10-12, and that is roughly the total amount of calories you should be consuming. Goal is to loose 1-1.5% of body weight per week.

Doesn’t matter whatever fad diet you want to follow. Just make sure your in a calorie deficit and meet your protein goal.

Weight training vs cardio as well. Cardio is not the key to weight loss as many have believed for so long

Brainerd area had shiners but was limiting scoops per customer. Fred’s in Deer River was fully stocked. They said the spottails started running on Red yesterday

We get venison bacon processed at McDonalds Meats in Clear Lake. They slice it then which helps a lot. I put it on a wire rack over a sheet tray in the oven. Flip once. Crips up nice

So the 25” toons don’t make enough of a difference? Figured that but thought I’d ask especially as the max weight was the same
