anywhere you get a custom cover done will be a better quality cover than OEM
June 14, 2011 at 3:32 am #973090My trolling motor only hangs out in the elements during the summer, but in the last 3 years it is showing considerable fading from sun exposure. If it had been covered when not in use, that would not be the case. I wanna cover it up and protect if in the future. I have a cover for my Verado as well, to protect it from the elements and the boat cover that rubs on the front of it.

Good choice! I was going to say “as long as possible” but I think you got that covered!
April 18, 2011 at 3:22 am #958222That’s exactly what did this weekend. Works and looks great!

You could just tie into the trim switch wires on the motor, and run new wires to the front and install a switch where ever you need it.

Mine doesn’t have one of these… anyone found a wiring diagram I could use to install a bow trim switch?
April 13, 2011 at 3:42 am #956573hum… I’m starting to think I might go with spray can bedliner for the whole deal!

BIRD…BIRD…BIRD…BIRD’S THE WORD Once you play with the feathers of the bird you will realize that Humminbird will even find a Lowrance on the bottom of the river due to a pissed off operator.
I only have a decent Lowrance to compare to, but the bottom is where I want to throw it frequently!
Next one I get will probly be a Humminbird…
April 8, 2011 at 1:26 am #955075after having both Rhino and Line-x in my truck (had the bed replaced) I would not get the Line-X again. Crap compared to the Rhino liners durability. Unfortunatly I had the Rhino first and now am stuck with the crappy Line-x

Here is the Cabelas link. Same as I got at Fleet Farm.
I just ordered me one of these earlier today!
I also have one of these on the way to compare
I got a few of various sizes of another brand at the house that I got clearanced at sears a couple years ago for $2 to $3 each… don’t recall the brand right now. Once I get them all together I’ll try and put up a comparison…
April 6, 2011 at 11:08 pm #954687I did find this one on Gander’s website that I had not seen before, but could not find one on Farm Fleet website…
Gander one looks to be about the right size too, little tall, but the right length.
Anyone have any experience with this one? No reviews and there is no Gander nearby.
Gander Net linkApril 6, 2011 at 5:12 am #954424true, I thought I needed more guides than the ones that mine trailer came with, but that was because I had the trailer too far in the water. Top of my fender about 4″ above the water seems to be close to the sweet spot for me…
April 5, 2011 at 7:29 pm #954288Your best bet will probly be to ask what the cover repair/making places can get or use.
Ask if they will warranty what they sell?
April 5, 2011 at 7:20 pm #920868Yeah, I have at least 4 of these and would have 2x that if Lund were not so proud of them!
I have not found another source for them, and somehow doubt there will be enough demand for another manufacturer to bother…
