I am currently running a nitro 700 LX with the 115 merc and have been very happy with it all around. Other than general wear and tear maintenance I have never had any problems with mine. One of my buddys I fish with has a 901 CDX and has had some minor problems but mostly just motor issues with his 200 EFI merc. I have heard of people saying they dont hold up as well under harsh conditions .They say the hull will begin to stress crack over time although I have never experienced this for myself.
As far as the ride and handling of the bigger Nitros i don’t see much difference between it and the big Rangers.
I have always thought you get what you pay for but for the money I will probobaly stick with the Nitro for my next boat.

I am not sure how much help this will be for you but some friends and I go down the first week of April every year and fish. With temps right around the upper 40’s to lower 50 degree range we fish main lake points with Storm Wiggle Warts. If you would like to know any more as far as areas or anything else you can PM me and I would be happy to tell you what I know about the lake.

i fished a tournament on pool 8 last fall and out of 34 teams over half of them came back with limits of smallmouths. in fact 29 lbs. ( 7 fish limit ) won. There seems to be tons of smallies in that pool. I have nly fished there a few times but always been able to boat some smallmouth.

I too would be intersted in joining a club in Prarie Du Chien along with a couple of friends too. If there is anything I can do to help get one going I would help as much as possible.
