Perfectly legal in Sodak where he was fishing.

I just assumed he was in MN. My bad. Sometimes I’ve spilled a few into the hole. whistling

I seem to remember Jason Mitchell getting in a little trouble for promoting them as a bait.

I recently saw Ted Takasaki promote chumming with spikes if the panfish bite slows down. shock doah

However, while walking to the tree got see the northern lights. Being in Iowa, we don’t see them too much. And I have never seen until today.

Those weren’t the northern lights. They were EPG’s dock on fire from the New Years Eve’s fireworks!! rotflol rotflol

I don’t like the celebrations. My dad always taught me to be humble. Can you imagine if fishermen celebrated when they caught a nice fish? yay

    Hahaha!!
I knew a guy that got a ticket for “peeing in the street” of a small North Dakota town we duck hunt around. I have actually seen tumble weeds rolling down that street a few times. The funny thing is the cop spelled “peeing” “peaing”. rotflol rotflol rotflol

Drove home from LOW yesterday and had fog ~80% of the way. Thickest from Hill City to Garrison. One guy passed me and when he became the lead vehicle, he slowed down to the speed I was going. whistling

I’ve heard from a few of my friends who deer hunt how poor it’s been in the recent (the last 5) years. They see a lot of wolf tracks. Before the wolf population grew, hunting was a great way to keep the deer population in check. If there were tough winters and the deer declined it was bucks only. When the deer thrived, bonus tags. Seems pretty simple to me. The wolves need to managed by hunting/trapping.

I sat behind Larry Hennig at a North Stars game in the ’80s. I swear his shoulders were about 4 feet wide.

fish pee in that water right?

    From the inter webs:

For freshwater fish specifically, they have a high concentration of ions and a low concentration of water inside their bodies compared to the water they live in, so water is constantly diffusing into the fish. Fish kidneys work overtime to get this water back out of their body, meaning freshwater fish pee a lot.

Freshwater fishes have to *get rid* of water constantly to keep their cells from bursting, which means they pee *a lot*. They’re pretty much peeing all the time. If people peed as much as a freshwater fish, they’d release up to 28 liters a day, which is about 20 times more pee than they usually make.

Nice and handy on the terminal rather than an inline fuse. I picked up a couple more of these from Vexilar in Bloomington today since I’m transitioning my Marcum flashers to LiFePO4 batteries. The woman said the old style (maybe pink in color) should not be used and get the red ones. My FLX30 I bought late last winter had the red one.

My first shotgun was an 870, 30″ fixed full choke. Used it for grouse, pheasants and ducks. For pheasants a couple rounds of 6 shot followed by 4 shots in the magazine.
Steel shot will either split the barrel or blow the choke by opening it up and may produce a slight bulge in the barrel at the beginning of the choke. I inherited the same gun from my dad. I don’t know what year it is or what fixed choke it is because I’ve never shot it since. It was a deadly slug gun for him.

I’ve used LiveScope on Upper Red in the early open water season. Spot lock in 5-6 ft and scan around until you see a fish. Usually hanging off the break. Didn’t really see any spook but they were in shallow to chow so maybe that over rode any discomfort from the LiveScope cone.
    Take the dive, Randy!!

When I do those i always add cheese, peppers onions a little au jus and then bake them at broil for a minute or two.

Made Philly Steak sandwiches Friday/Saturday. I toasted the bun under the broiler ’til just starting to brown, then spooned on some au jus and added the steak, veggies and cheese and broiled it again until the cheese was bubbly. Much better with the crunch. Thanks Bearcat!!

I might still pick one up just to see what the fuss is about.

Don’t bother. Has a more vinegary taste than other mayos sold here. I’m one and done with Duke’s!!

Too bad about all the people going through the ice. It happens every year and of course, just before Christmas.

My first Auto-Pilot was stored on a shelf in an un-heated garage. No issues.
My second was stored the same way. After 2 years it lost Auto-Pilot. There was a small tube filled with an oil on that motor. MinnKota changed the oil to a lighter weight and it froze and cracked the tube. After it was fixed I stored it in the basement over the winter.
My current one, Ulterra 36-volt 72″, was being stored in the basement. I called MinnKota earlier this year to ask them if it can be stored in an unheated garage over the winter and they said, “Yes”. I might try it this winter because it’s not the easiest to bring indoors. Not bad if my son helps. I don’t know if I’m going to take a chance. Plenty of room in the basement next to the rod rack. grin

I hunted some of those laid down cattails and canary grass out by Hutch 3 weeks ago. A pain in the ass for sure.
