Got mine a few days ago! Man the fabric is nice! Planning on living in mine! Well done!
Great episode to finish it out! It is very apparent that tons of hard work and long hours went in to making this season a huge success. Cant wait for Strike Zone this summer!
I literally laughed out loud at the “She’s a beaut Clark” as well. James and the crew are so fun to fish with and they keep you rolling all the time. 99% of it doesn’t make it on film (and some of it thank gosh…haha). There were a couple of times during the filming of the Erie episode that we had to compose ourselves from laughing to film and reel in fish. Thats what life is about!
One thing that we only briefly mentioned on the show was boat control. James did a fantastic job of keeping our baits in the strike zone and at the precise speed. Honestly, running out baits, setting boards, and reeling in fish was the easy part. It sure felt to me that he had the skeeter dialed in. It was a great boat to fish from. Man we had a good time! My cheeks still hurt from smiling!
Those felt washers are not great for cold weather. Clean out all the old grease and put some cold weather/low temp grease and a Carbontex washer. They are great for smoothing out the drag pressure in any temp.
I install them in all the reels we sell. It is a significant improvement for the price.
John is correct with the washer replacement. Fished them all weekend in frigid temps with no issues!
Striker Suites are amazing pieces of equipment. I just got a predator this year and it has been awesome so far. Only complaint I have is….I don’t wear the jacket as often as I thought I would…..cause its DANG WARM! So technically the opposite of a problem. Some good responses above and good luck with whichever you go with!
I’m thinking PJ’s white suite may have been by design (or at least advantageous). I’m suspecting a fish would see a lot of white when they looked straight up (clouds, glare from ice, etc) so it may have been a great cover in that very shallow water.
I’m sure this topic has been covered before but I am looking to get a new TUCR. Curious on what people think is the best in the line up for small Tumbler/Tingler spoons and size 3 and 4 Rippin raps. I will mainly be using this rod for perch.
You would love either the fusion or precision for this application. If I was targeting perch I would give the slight lean to the fusion.
Like others have said… if you have the ability then get what you want. I will say I do think the split grip fits me a little better for my preferred pistol grip and I do think they make the rod slightly more sensitive as you are in direct contact with the blank. Either will work awesome!
We fish this body of water 3-4 times a year and I grew up not far from it. The quality has seemed to decrease proportionally to the number of resorts, bait shops, trailer courts/camper sites and boats on the water. Believe me, I am not opposed to development at all but at some point the state may need to step in and adjust harvest on this system. I am not, by any means, a biologist (and i don’t play one on TV) and I’m sure there are a lot of factors in play here. But Im thinking length and limits hasn’t been adjusted in some time on this water body, it may be due.
