I know I can hook it up to my icehouse battery but dont really want it to drain that battery in the middle of the night and then have no heat. Dont know how long it will run on a Gp24 deep cycle battery as they dont say what the amp hours are on them.

Wish I would have seen this, just bought a 32ah for $269. Could have bought two of these, wired them in series, and had the same thing for $180.

If you hooked two 10ah batteries in parallel would it be the same as having a 20ah battery or not?
