And human doctors get paid a good amount more. Health Insurance bs plays a big role in pay I’m sure.

This might be true but a vet I know personally has bought 2 farms(275 acres) and started an Angus breeding herd. Has put all new fences around all of it after a lot of land clearing and built 3 new buildings(1 is 60×120 half finished and heated as a shop). All done in the last 8 years. His tax man said he had to spend some money. I think he is doing ok. whistling

At 54,000 I would have the transmission fluid done now. Then like I mentioned do not go over 5,000 miles on full synthetic oil. Also monitor level some should not have started at that low of miles but they tend to eat oil at some point

“No need to check the oil it has a monitor for that. It shows I have 20% left.”

Many after market rims do not handle the salt belt winters very well. I’ve seen some in bad shape after 1 or 2 winters.

FB MP got me brand new wheels w tires from a new truck take off, 1200. Guy said he knows a guy from some dealers and pedals em on the side. I wanted new wheels anyways and tires were just a bonus. Worth keeping an eye out

    Sounds exactly like my deal.
I have summer and winter sets.

Grouse check with Keystone Auto. They furnish refurbished wheels to body shops and independent shops.
I got a set for a 2500 Silverado once with lifetime warranty.
Also does any business deal in factory take offs? Here in SW WI a business handles new factory take offs. Complete wheel and tire sets.
I bought a set of 18″ Silverado wheels 2 years ago with new GY tires on them for $1200.
    Company name is RPM AUTO.

I really didn’t care what the alum rims looked like. The problem I had was that corrosion got into the seal and constantly leaked air. Especially in the winter. Two wheel shops did the tire off, clean it up and re-install. Still leaked. Last place got it right after I told them how bad it was. Just something to think about.

The secret to corroded rim sealing flanges is wire brushing the rim AND the tire bead till it is totally smooth. Then a liquid rubber sealer applied liberally to both, inflate, and clean excess sealer off the tire. Did hundreds and was usually good for at least 2 years. Also helps to keep air pressure at required levels at all times.

Talked to a guy at Hermantown transmission and it seemed like he really knew what he was talking about. Said they do a ton of them and when they rebuild them they fix all the weak links and reflash them so it should outlast the truck. Right around $5500. Probably worth getting fixed for that price I guess.

You never serviced the tranny so deduct that from the price of the new tranny. Probably makes it around $4900.

1st thing is there any codes stored? Check engine light on?
Plugs, ign. coils, and wires been changed/checked? All these items can make you think transmission is acting up. Transmission been serviced regularly?
Need way more info to give an opinion.

Going to try the Mississippi airboat adventure in February. Got cancelled last year because of sketchy ice.

The last factory Skeeter cover I purchased 8 years ago was $875. Good cover still working great when I use it.

How would one of these work. It siphons or pumps depending on which way you turn the crank.
Had one in my automotive shop and ran it with a half inch drill.

Well my “dilemma” is solved. My boat is sold to someone who will enjoy it as we did and it will serve them well. I just had my offer accepted and a down payment completed on a 1875 Crossover. Exciting times.

Happy for you. Congrats! Pics are a must when you get it.

It always amazes me that some people can not learn from watching how others do things. doah

I feed a supplement called Fido Vite Flexx. It is blended in Sauk City, WI. A couple of dog breeders/trainers I talked to years ago recommended/use it. I tried it with good results so add it to our dogs food everytime along with some flax meal.

I just bought a new F150 Supercrew/6’7″ bed and took a train up to Grand Forks to get it. I searched dealers through MN, WI,Iowa and the Dakotas. I found one in Medford WI that was on order and put a deposit on it but then found the one in GF that I liked better. I wanted the EB engine, rapid red and the bigger bed which was very hard to find. I had considered ordering but two dealers told me 2024 orders are 4-6 months out and orders stop in September. They both said tho it was very possible I’d get an email stating they’d no longer do a 2024 build and I’d get stuck paying the upcharge on a 2025. Been driving Dodge/Rams since the mid 90s but decided on the Ford this time…

A friend of mine ordered a new F150 in March. Dealer told him 3 to 4 months. It came in 5 weeks. shock

100 pound tank will not last very long. I’d go either 500 gallon tank or run natural gas if it is available.
