In the state of where nothing is allowed. Why wouldn’t you put what you caught back into the eco system it came from. What do they think happens when fish die naturally. Perhaps the dnr finds them and burys them. Other places like ak etc make you put it back in water to feed the eco system. Policy is wrong

I think they were chumming corn and using a hair rig. It is now illegal to chum in MN so you don’t see any new shows on it. There also was one by anglers edge on Minnetonka where the used night crawlers. I used to fish carp alot till the law change on chum. Most carp techniques utilize chum with corn or boilles.

    Sharon,

We had a system put in from a place in Eagan that is certified by the state of Minnesota for Radon remediation. Our levels of Radon went from 14 to .08 . Just about every place in Rosemount has Radon levels that are 2 high. If you want their number just PM me. We had a dirt crawl space under an addition of the house that we had sealed up with plastic sheeting. They put a pvc pipe there then one thru concrete floor. That still did’t get us to safe levels so they did one more hole in concrete. We then had the very low levels. it is required in MN that it be tested before sale.

This is from 1/2024 MN dept of health
Is radon testing required to sell a home in Minnesota?
Radon, a Class A human carcinogen, is the leading cause of lung cancer in nonsmokers and the second leading cause overall. The seller of any interest in residential real property is required to provide the buyer with any information on radon test results of the dwelling.”Jan 5, 2024

I have a cabin in Bayfield cty. Dog attacks are all to common. I am glad Buster is improving. MY brother lost 2 dogs while coyote hunting. IT made him quit using dogs to hunt them. We have been seeing them cruising our shoreline at dusk and at night. They have chased the deer from the woods to the cabins. I agree with sss

Reel, cheap dacron Alberto knot to fly line. Then Alberto knot to other end of fly line to short piece of 15 lb mono then swivel. Then you have strong connection to swivel. Use loop knot on leader of your choice.

When getting a peeing ticket take it to court and ask the officer where they pee when they are patrolling? Judge should throw out case. Or will we see DNR vehicle boats and sleds with porta pottys attached. Do they realize fish pee directly into the lake? I agree with the need to get rid of solid waste properly but pee that is from a dog etc is completely bs

I always store muzzle loader in unheated shed or garage during season. My shots are a 100yds or less and I have never worried about it. Been doing since the early 1980’s. What I do know is bring it from below freezing to indoors will cause it to sweat ruining your powder charge. Also put tape over muzzle to prevent snow , moisture or debris from falling the large .50 or larger hole. I have found a branch tip in there one time good thing i didn’t fire it.

Terrible news . I make everyone wear a inflatable life jacket and use kill switch. YOu just have to get into the habit of using the tether. IT was easy to me because it is a rule in bass leagues and tournaments. I have fallen out of a boat and used swim latter to get back in. For those of you without swim ladders you can use power tilt and trim on main outboard to assist you in. It works. Stand on cavitation plate hug motor then use button on side of motor to lift. I have tried re entering my boat without assist and I cannot do it. Prayers to the families

Had shoulder surgery a few years ago and sold my Black Widow recurve. Tried shooting some compound bows but they didn’t work either. I bought a 10 Point Turbo S1 crossbow. I am able to cock it with the accudraw crank system. I still will stick to 30 yard or less shots. Almost all deer jump the string and anything long range is risky IMHO. Gonna enjoy being back out.

I went to it Many years ago. We arrived 3 hours early and did get in. Back then they had airplanes you could inspect and even some you could go up ladder in cockpit. They where also giving rides to the North Pole and back on the Concorde. That was in 1987 Was an amazing show. But poorly organized. I would arrive very early if I were to go again. Seeing a C-130 to short / no runway take of using rockets was amazing as well as F16 going vertical off runway until it was out of sight and hearing range.

I have several. My favorites to shoot are my .54 flintlock and my .62 smooth-bore flintlock. Also a .50 and .54 side lock. and a T/c .50 inline and my double barrel 10 ga side lock so you can say I like black Powder.

    Lol

I think the pressure against the Jaws is the problem . Once i put trailer deeper in the water it can move forward that 1/16 and boom it open freely.

Mine did it Twice. I sprayed some white lithium grease on it and make sure the boat is floating off trailer. Have had no further problems in a couple years. IF it has pressure on it it won’t release properly.

You are partially right the Go Wild card is all you need for inland waters you need paper for rivers flowing into and on great lakes and for border waters . It makes no sense to require both.

You cannot have any Alcohol in your boat unless going directly from a launching site to your camp/Resort. You do not stop along the way and fish. Nothing for shore lunch unless as others have stated that your are at the camp you are sleeping in. The no transporting of empties is what causes Canadians to do the sink em method. I have been stopped by the OPP several times in the boat and they were looking for alcohol first, then they asked about what we ate for shore lunch and what our names were as they had a list of the names on the bags of frozen fillets in our cabin. We told them pike they said good as you cannot have fish shore lunch of walleye if your limits in the freezer. I never freeze any walleyes till the last day and that day we buy sandwich shore lunch from the Resort. Then they proceeded to ask my kids if I was drinking at shore lunch. They were quite aggressive and visibly disappointed that we had done nothing wrong. I only have drinks in camp. Its not worth the hassle plus ITs hard enough to control the boat find the fish help others being sober. Also I have had several friends on remote fly ins get checked by float planes for fish and alcohol in the boat.

We also saw alot of sea turtles and porpoise. Boat was clean and his gear was good and well taken care of. He changed baits and popper rigs couple times so we were using fresh baits and different colors.

With both the Pork and brisket I use thermometers when meat temp reaches 160F I wrap meat in the brown butchers paper or in foil and put back on smoker until the meat temp reaches at least 205F. Then I wrap in old beach towel and put in cooler for several hours as long as 5 to rest then remove and slice. Pork is usually 8 to 10 hours on grill, briskets can be 12 + Go by temperature with both meats. Allow for resting time as in the cooler before serving . Before cooking On pork I put mustard then a rub on it overnight. for brisket I put mustard on then just use kosher salt and black coarse ground pepper for a rub, do not be afraid to put a descent amount on.
