I hand load for everything and used Barnes TSX almost exclusively, but now load more jacketed bullets like Hornady ELDX and Bergers, with most my shots under 300,I want a bullet that dumps all its energy on impact rather than still having alot of energy left on the pass thru.
Not knocking barnes at all,Great bullets, but went from 300 WBY mag to 6.5cm,reason for bullet swap. Also used to load a 70grn Nosler ballistic tip for .243 and that always hammered deer for a varmit bullet.

Its a crew cab with tracks so alot of stuff will ride in backseat, but yeah when traveling distance will tarp and put cover over powerhead.
Most trips will be chasing walleyes in the bays so not alot of distance to travel.

Bought the xcor pros a few weeks ago.Hearing protection is great, the amplification is ok and blue tooth conectivity is Great.
I bought them for the rifle range and to use at work(construction),where my regular hearing aids dont offer the noise protection. They look a little bulky but are actually quite comfortable,I typically have my hearing aids in all day long.
Overall very happy with my purchase, was debating between axil and walkers bt 2.0,axil’s reviews just seemed alot better.

Yep pulling into the wall might give you that suprise release ,you didnt want, when that big buck comes in.
I will stick to thumb or index for hunting.Alot of guys use a hinge, but for me i would have to set mine a little colder. All releases work on command, just some use less of a consious effort.I use the release I have because it gives me a good comfortable, solid anchor and I shoot well with it.
Like Bearcat said you gotta try differet things, part of the fun of archery, and maybe you will find your silver bullet!!

Are you talking hinge or back tension??I typically shoot a Stan SX3 thumb,3 finger,My hinge is a Scott Halo,3finger,which I like, but it doesnt have adjustable click which is nice,if you use the click, the ability to change to 2,3,or4 might be something you might like.I like mine set a little on the hotter side, but recomend a shot trainer or accubow to pratice with first as they do require some getting used to.
Now back tension Truball makes on that can be shot as thumb or back tension, but thats a different animal and I have no intrest in back tension, probably the fussiest of all releases to shoot.
Archery talk classifieds is a Great place to shop for high end release, guys are always, buying, selling and you can save alot, and if you dont like just resell it.

I just bought a pair of Axil xcor pros, havent used them much yet,the hearing protection is very good, the amplification is good, but not like my hearing aids, the blue tooth connectivity is also very good, much better than my hearing aids.
They were on sale on Axils sight 199$ save 100$.Suppose to be FAS eligible, but have not been reimbursed yet.
Limited use,but overall satisfied with my purchase.

That little round led light from clam works great in hubs, bolts to the roof hub and cord zipties along one of the poles.Super bright with no shadows, best light ive found for my hub.

My next camera will be the tactacam sk,built in solar panel, plus lithium battery pack, just need some sun to charge,I have a Reveal x pro on their solarpak,I did lose battery power once with this setup, just a bit to shaded.
Another non cell cam that has been great is Campark T70,bought a pair after a Browning and Moultrie were stolen on public land,I like these better than the other two,and they have been going strong for about 5 years.

Im a SpotHogg guy,Have a 5pin Hoggit and Single pin Hoggfather, both great sights, now they have the Boonie,Which would have me looking hard if buying a new sight.HHA makes great sights also, but I have used SpotHoggs customer service and they are second to none.Bought my Hoggfather used off the internet, and pictures lied, beat to hell.Sent it in and had it checked out and replace some magor parts, along with changing pin size and color, got it back and it looked Brand new,for less than 40$,customer for life!!

The poly helps to insure the water vapor does not enter the wall cavity, without poly a positively pressured room will force vapor into wall cavity, rotting it from the inside out.
Mobile homes with the masonite vertical siding are prime examples.Mobile home heating systems use a wild return( no return air vents in rooms)so when doors are closed, rooms pressurize, pushing moisture through the walls, bowing ,bulging or rotting exterior walls.
Vapor barriers and proper ventilation are very important aspects of building science.

I have the marcum 485c and its been on par with all other cameras i have used. The water clarity on Devils Lake isnt great for camera use, most of the time being able to see your lure at 2-4ft,and your done using it by sunset.
Well last weekend I won a Vexilar 800IR,took it out sunday evening and the range was about the same, but we could see the lure clearly well after dark, thats something Ive never been able to do with any other camera.

Bear archery makes a couple of bow packages in that price range, that are Great for starter bows. The Genisis bows are also good starters, and the bows used in the NSAP programs
My personal expirience teaching archery,I believe the faster you can get kids consistently hitting the target, they are more apt to stay with archery. This can be done by using a peep sight/pin combo right away vs shooting instictivley.
Definetley a good idea to go to an archery shop.Draw length, wieght, peep hieght and proper form and tune can be done there.

I shoot an older knight Revolution that uses the plastic jacket.I actually like this setup because it gives you a little more primer to hold and load especially with cold fingers!!I think the idea was to seal the breech, but in the cold I think the plastics too stiff to get a great seal.In a pinch you can pop the used primer and reuse the jacket.

I have used the gen 1 for about 4 years,I also went to using just the receiver for alerts,it doesn’t have the features of the phone app,but always works and I don’t have to worry about dropping my phone down the whole.
It’s nice to be able to sit in the ice house and not pop up every couple minutes to check tip ups!!
Great product with even better customer service!!

So I would really like to kayak fish,I think,so l have a couple questions for those that do.
I don’t swim so would be in a life jacket always, sit in or sit on,length, can you buy a reasonably priced peddle type, length of rods,I have an hds 7 that I would probably put on,good idea??
This would be used along the shorelines of Devil’s Lake campgrounds on nicer days and in the coulees in the spring
Any info that would help an extreme rookie would help,Thanks in advance!!

I grow a variety of peppers and also rinse and freeze for use later.Cayennes are added to chili, cowhorns and habeneros are put in a food chopper and added to peppersticks.I like to add a couple habeneros to my scrambled eggs, once in awhile.Looking at making hot sauce with scorpions and reapers, roasting with onions and garlic and add mango or pineapple juice, lots of recipes on the net!!

We(wetherization)sprayfoam rough surfaces with 2 prt foam and cover with the uv protectors. The easiest coating to apply is elasto-polymer sold at menards called tuff coat,it can be troweled on right out of bucket.
It’s usually applied to just below grade, and is a good energy saving measure.usually applied on homes with uninsulated block or poured concrete walls.
It comes off fairly easy and if foundation walls are smooth gluing polystyrene and covering with treated plywood fastened with tapcons, top edge should be covered,j channel,treated2x2 at top edge or overhang of the house.

Early June the water will still be coming in,I would fish the shallow water weeds and timber off those areas.I don’t think you can get too shallow, fishing as shallow as 1’can be productive, pitching cranks or white plastics always works this time of year.Dont forget about the feeder lakes up north if you have a smaller boat capable of launching.
    Good Luck!!

I find myself listening to more Chicago,Guess Who 70’s stuff lately. But like all genres and go from listening to Jim Croce’ Time in a bottle to Rob Zombies Dragula in a single step.

When fox paid well,I used a 17 rem, almost exclusively.Pelt damage was about as minimal as you could get.25gr corelok or 30 gr berger pushing close to 4000 fps.Wind and marginal hits were not your friends. When coyotes became prevelant, the 22-250 became the goto.Kick myself for selling that 17,one fun gun to shoot(on calm days).

If buying ammo off the shelf 223 bolt, and 223 Wylde in ar,probably cheapest route. But I have always been a 22-250 bolt guy,but would be hard to beat a Brenton Ar chambered in 224 Valerie or 22 nosler. My sons Brenton 15 is considerably lighter than my DPMS 10,usually his goto for hunts.I prefer 4.5-14,him 20+.
Lots of good options mentioned here.

Being a handloader, sst’ wouldn’t be my first choice, but will get the job done.I would buy shoot them up,save the brass and you can have them loaded with bullet/powder of your choice. With alot of calibers being tough to come by,most dies are not.

Lots of good manufactures out there, you can’t hardly go wrong with a 90%,just want to make sure your changing filters.Oversizing your furnace will end up costing you money instead of saving you.Having professionally installed extends warranty on the heat exchangers, with alot of manufactures.

You would want to take hiway 5 across the top if your entering the state north of Grand Forks,I travel the road from Cavalier to Dunsieth often, good road.If you enter the state at Grand Forks take hiway 2 west of Minot to hiway 52 and head north, even better roads.

I dont know how far you are carrying it in or how long it will be there, but have you considered a lightwieght aluminum ladder stand? I have been a sticks, hangon guy forever{not alot of trees allowing use of climbers}here. We can keep stands on most types of stateland for the season,so the last few I have bought are ladders, buy cheap and haul them in on my game cart as most breakdown into 5′ sections.
I still prefer a large platform hang on but am getting used to ladders, and they do go up easy once you have found your spot.

My dad had bought the tas auger in 1978,it was about 2 yrs old when he bought it from a friends widow. They were light for the era and cut pretty fair, butI remember it being tough to start and very touchy with the fuel mix,if I remember it was like 35:1.
