    For walleyes I’ve been running tru-turn single hooks for about 5 years. I’ve noticed absolutely no difference in hookups during that time, and it’s so convenient if you get a deeper hooked fish, or dealing with smaller fish. I’ll never go back to trebles.

    I have it on 8…it won’t pick up my jig on 20. If I lower the transducer in the hole it will go from 5-6ft of water to 3-4, and not pick up anything.

    Like some of the people above said…don’t be afraid to get shallower. You are catching fish from 12-3 because that’s where they are active during that time period. If you want to get fish earlier, and later I would suggest moving shallower. I fish a flowage that has a bite very much like that on the channel edges…10-2 they bite like clockwork, but doesn’t pay to be in those spots earlier or later than that because they transition shallower.

    I have to commend James for taking the time in his last show to go over ice safety. Even if it got one person as it has in this post to purchase a spud that’s a success. I’m sure there have been many many more that have further considered ice safety due to that clip.
