The Rapala has been my favorite lure for thirty years, The Forage minnow has become my favorite for the last couple yrs. The Rap will give you big walleyes but you’ll lose a few in the process. The forage minnow is great on panfish.

I stated a few weeks ago that I thought the Packers had the dumbest coaches in the world, bar none. I take that back. The Vikes are right up there among the dumbest. Jackson looked pretty sad yesterday. Brad Johnson would have won that game. Why was Peterson sitting out on third downs? Why did not Peterson touch the ball when they needed him most? They must be saving these guys for next year.

One consistant thing about the Packers.

Their coach’s are the the dumbest coaches around, bar none. We got Brett Favre as QB. Lets run our seventh round draft picks and forget about Brett and his recievers. Lets forget about 19 out of 21 completions in the first half. Duh

Way to go MUDSHARK, good Post!!!!

Oh yeah, Favre is the greatest quarterback so far, by far.

You can’t really blame the the Viking fans for being on the bandwagon though the way the Viking franchise has screwed things up so often.
I still think Fran T is the second greatest QB so far.
Peyton Manning might move them both down a notch eventually.

By the way, I think Culpepper was one of the worst. Would have made a great tight end though.

Baiting and feeding deer has spread CWD in WI.

Some of the corn piles you run into out in the woods in WI are huge. ATV’s are used to haul in bushels and bushels. It is pretty discouraging to be walking out inb the woods, not close to any road , start seeing lots of deer sign and then run into a corn pile.

Now, when there have been attempts to stop this local gas stations and feed stores cry that there will be financial hardships on their part and they would have to go out of business if they could not sell corn to bait deer.

If you drive by a gas station in WI during deer hunting there will be 100 pound stacks of corn for sale stacked by the hundreds.

CWD is taking over the state of WI. I guess it is spread by the deer spit left in the feeding station or the bait piles. I think soon it will be in MN too. It has spread close to La Crosse WI already.

What I call disrespectful of the people that perished is that the DOT OK’d “superficial maintenance” on a bridge that was rated as not up to par.

They OK’d putting huge concrete shavers on that bridge shaking the living B-Jesus out of that structure all summer long. Any one stuck on that bridge saw that they were shaving 6-7 inches of concrete out of that bridge. How much vibration do you you think that bridge had to stand up to this summer. How many bolts do you think vibrated out of the beams from those concrete shavers. Not to mention concrete trucks I noticed laying in the rubble. What I find disrespectful is they are not mentioning that at all.

I also find it disrespectful that media tells our senators what a really great job they are doing for telling us how really great we Minnesotans are.

This whole thing smells like a winter kill lake come about mid April.

I do not see anything wrong with saying I just went over the bridge. I do not see any disrespect in that what so ever.

I would say a full time guide is a professional.
I would not say a small tourney fisherman fishing for fun, prestige and beer money is a professional but a big time tourney fisherman making a livng and working his butt off at it is.

It is shortsighted for me not to like fish tournaments?

I think it is hard on the fish. That is what “I” think. Maybe Bass can hold up better that other species say a Muskie or Walleye. It is shortsighted for me to think it is hard on the fish? Large Walleye and Muskie are pretty fragile creatures. That is what “I” have observed in my shortsighted fishing for 45 years.

I went to Mille Lacs one time this summer and will not go back after seeing what that 26 inch walleye looked like when it tried to go back down into 26 feet of water. That was with a very fast release, no pictures or ooh aweing.

I have a easier time with bass tourneys than others.

I am not saying tournament anglers are not good guys or courteous people.

I do not like tournaments!!! If it were up for a vote I would definately vote NO.

If you can make some money working for them and further your job experience go for it.

Just do not expect it to be a long term job (just like every where else). In todays world not to many people keep the same employer for long.

I think it is a farce and will be short lived. They could not have picked a worse crop than corn to base this on. Mark my word this is going to screw things up. One example is soybeans. What do suppose is going to happen to all the products made from soybeans when the soybean farmers all switch to corn. That is one example. Even Castro had it right when he blasted the US for doing this.

Because there is government money up for grabs people are grabbing.

I know what I will be using next time.

I think that walleye will have a harder time swallowing a jig way down to the danger zone.

    Thanks guys.

In WI, if you are on a motorcycle it is a real good idea to not go over 60 mph, day or night. WI is loaded with deer everywhere.
My brother took out a deer at 65 mph on interstate 90. He was wearing a helmet that had a big chip out of it afterwards.

His son died when he hit a deer with his motorcycle by Eau Claire a few years ago.

If you are going 60 or less you have a chance to slow down a little bit in some cases. That helps a lot.

It still amazes me when I am looked at by other motorcycle riders as being uncool because I am wearing a helmet. That happens a lot. There is a lot of pressure on riders in that regard. That is why a lot of riders do not wear helmets, especially younger ones. Its not cool!!

Ask any doctor where most of the donated organs come from and they will tell you it is from motorcycle riders without helmets.

    Natureboy,

    I can believe it.

Number one rule on spots that good. Never bring anyone, not even your best friend. You might get by showing them to your kids but that’s about it.

Now you know. Usually when you learn this important rule of fishing it hurts so back you don’t forget.
